Hey James, i have been enjoying watching your build videos and many times watching each one several times. I like how you deviate from the plans to fit this build making it better. Your covering skills are great! I can't wait to see you flying! BTW: i like hearing you narrating as you build..it makes for a bit longer, but you're giving valuable information as you go.

Thanks Randy for the compliments and feedback on the narratives, its helpful to me. And , ya it takes longer, I was hoping to get a vid out this weekend but just finished it , so it should be out in a few days. Im getting closer, and now starting to get the jitters thinking about the maiden soon! Thanks again

The format of your video is very good. Specially for beginners. It depends on who the audience is. Some people are new to the hobby and in that case they can benefit from a narrated format. Thanks for taking the time to teach.

Thanks for the feedback. Hard to do a video that appeals to all. But getting feedback is helpful.

Well done. I do like the narration on the video. I really like using golden rods but have never used the rubber stops. I always scuff up the outer blue portion and then glue them as they pass through bulkheads or supports. Lots of ways to skin a cat I suppose. Can’t wait to see this thing fly.

Hi James when you start setting servos in it means you coming down the pike of finish line 😊. When I run the threaded rod into the inner rod I chuck the unthreaded into the drill and run it in & out of the inner rod makes it easy peasy also doesn't mar up the inner rod holding it. Lite winds and smooth landings.

Well I am just enjoying the heck out of this series, James. Your camera/editting work is a real bonus too. I am pondering a plans built Super Sportster off Outerzone… and so much of this kit stuff is applicable to the stick builds. I personally don’t care about vid length…I am on my second pass through the series. There’s so much to learn… and seeing it done beats the hell out of the manuals every time. Really appreciate the DLE tutorials too. 100 thumbs up!👍

Nice video that being said I would never use the servos and linkages you are using in a Gas engine setup. You would be better off using metal geared servos for throttle connected with ball links as you want zero slop as it only takes very small movements to change the throttle. Those plastic rods will also change size with the temperature change and that will change your low and high throttle settings. Also vibration will quickly strip the gears on a standard servo. You could save yourself some effort by just making a mechanical setup with the choke as adding a servo only adds weight and complexity.

Thanks for the comments and tips! Ya, I'm not sure how helpful the choke servo is, I do like the mechanical option, simple and reliable, less weight. But this is my first "gas" build, so I wanted to try a choke servo. And I'll have to watch the things you mentioned, and maybe switch to ball links if I have trouble. I'll have to monitor things as she goes. I appreciate your comments, it's helpful to all.
