It was interesting watching Blockbuster completely fall apart in Hoboken, NJ. It was the last vid. store in town to fold, and to enter the store in its last days was like visiting a train wreck. You still had ghostly salesclerks mouthing the corporate line, but the selection was horrendous and none of the clerks knew any movie made before the year 2000. To go downstairs to the rental area gave you a feeling of being buried alive. Now the location is an Anthropologie.

Sure, Troy Brindle is great as the video store employee in the scene we saw, but what about later in the movie where he turns into Brindlefly and wreaks havoc in the store, spewing acidic saliva all over the customers?!

Why did they sell blank tapes, weren't they afraid of people copying the movies?
@tiamarie67195 жыл бұрын
I'm sure that wasn't their intention. They probably sold them so that the customers could record stuff off of T.V., or make home videos.

And he sees a stuffed character with REWIND written on his forehead. This is certainly weird. OH ok I understand what they are doing here, with the whole Siskell and Ebert parody. Lol. So many things wrong with this video/things that are funny. 1. This video is racist. The black guy is depicted as being shady, loud, and swearing. 2. The "Italian" guy responds sarcastically when the employee tells him he can buy or rent movies. 3. Mascot holds gun in store, yet, no one seems to care. 4. Lol at the people at 9:23 standing so close to each other in line.
