Not sure why the author didn't make it clear the the second one was more of a companion book on the cover. Still some good stuff inside of it and I will use some of it in the future.

Ty for your review I am working on solo ing, My old red and blue box sets. Would love to see your take on it. Subbed, so how about a book binding video? Ty

Thank You for subbing and one day I might take on the old Red and Blue boxes. I am working on a booking binding video as part of my Warhammer Quest series. In my next video for that series I will start the process, you subbed at the right time.

Beautiful binding job. Did you by any chance post a video about how you did that? I've watched a few binding videos but want to learn more before I try it myself.

Sorry for the late reply. I have thought about it but just have not had the time to create one. I have another book that I to create so I will attempt to create a video on the process but it will take some time.

I love the idea of binding my own book. Is that something you have done any videos on? Alternatively, do you recommend any particular sources of information for beginner DIY book-binding?

I have not uploaded any videos on this subject. I have on in the works but it will be more of an overview of the process and not a step by step instructional video. I learned everything I know from watching this DAS bookbinding youtube channel. He covers a lot of different subjects but the loose leaf binding is what I use for game books. It is a fun side hobby and I just enjoy the process.

@@solitaryrpg Thank you :) I'm on the lookout for low-energy pastimes that don't involve lots of time in front of a computer. I'll check out that channel.

@@J-Hell You are welcome and it is a great pastime. Not only do you get to bind the book you also can enjoy reading it afterwards.

Hi! Thanks for this video. I am enjoying learning about solo play. Quick question; in your bookkeeping do you do any journaling? Any recommendations of resources to help with journeling? Something that I can reference after a few weeks break.

I am happy that you find the videos helpful and I am happy to help in any way I can. I use to keep a journal for my games however I have stopped doing that. I do something similar to Mind Mapping. It is a memory technique an my games have helped me learn this skill. If you are looking for something more specific to RPG's you might want to look at some of the tools offered by Mythic. The scene sheet is very helpful with keeping track of the game progress and NPC's. I hope this helps you.

I was confused about DM Yourself and DM Yourselves haha, thank you for the introduction! I have just bought the Deadlands Wired West box set, do you think the DM books will be good for Savage Worlds system as well?
@solitaryrpg2 жыл бұрын
I don't know how those adventures are written however the tools in these books will help you with running them solo or without a GM. Everything I took away from the books were just some more tools to help me running my games. If you are going to use them I feel the blue covered book will give you the most BANG for your buck, bad pun I know, lol.

@@solitaryrpg I actually purchased Mythic GM Emulator along with the game so I guess I will test the game with Mythic first and see how it goes, thanks for the advice!

@@shaihuludkido Mythic will be a great way to start and will help you learn the rules for Deadlands. It is a great setting and I am sure you will have lots of fun playing.

@@solitaryrpg yeah I am a big fan of the old westerns/samurai flicks so the settings of an old school wired west I just can’t resist! Haha

Mythic works great! I use it for the solo RPG I'm developing and some other game systems and it works great
