Just started listening to Buckethead and I appreciate that not every song is "thrash" - you dont have to play super quick to turn out a great song!

Im still convinced to this day Buckethead is the Greatest Living guitarist. Too many songs to listen to, and yet you never know what you might hear on each one. A true pleasure to see live. Buckethead is God.

Pure genius! I may be to old to appreciate his wilder stuff but this, Whitewash and Soothsayer rank head and shoulders above anyone else I've ever heard. Thank you man with a bucket on his head!

And I think that this music would suit this phase of his life. The epilogue of a long and impressive musical journey with various artists and styles. Songs like Padmasana and even stuff on his newer slow albums reflect that mood very well. But he still pushes the frenzy music.

Is that woman dancing his girlfriend/wife, Donna? That’s how I dance to Buckethead, with my scarves.

He has a girlfriend/wife? If so I'm glad to hear it, but I'd pictured him as some tormented Phantom of the Opera type only able to express emotion through his guitar.

Well, considering that this is a song where it's just him playing guitar anyways...you know. It looks like there's a drum set and other stuff on stage so I'm assuming he just decided to go solo on this particular tune.

It's a shame he seems to not play this kind of music live anymore, it's always metal. Metal's not my thing. I went to see him live once, the night Obama was elected, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was the first celebrity I've seen IRL and I happened to get the front row. It was amazing to see how tall he really is in person but a shame because most of his performance left me cold. I bought his album 'Albino Slug' after the show. Still I find it was great experience. Plus, That 1 Guy is awesome live.

God I'm sick of BH's live shows being just him. He did Whitewash live with him and a bass player, and it was one of the best live performances ever. I think that playing to a backing track defeats the whole purpose of playing live. Sure, this was a great performance, but it could have been so much better.
@pangaea6united3 жыл бұрын
have to keep his timing with backing track how he plays so fast and fits alot
