I love how Dante doesn't respond to "You looked as if you were playing me from the beginning." with "Yeah I could easily kick your ass." - It really does show a more mature Dante, as he jumped straight to the point about the sword. And also when he tells Nero "Then keep (Yamato), now that you're calm and cool, get going." - It really reflects Dante's old self when he got caught up in anger too, and after exchanging blows with Nero (Similar to exchanging blows with Vergil) he could understand his feelings, which was also amped up by the music playing in the background. I love the exchange between Nero and Dante at the end, Dante really became somewhat a father figure with his words. I remember giving a gift to my friend and the moment he said "Wait, don't you treat this like your own life?" I instinctively remembered: "That's the only kind of gift worth giving, I want to entrust it to you, so I am.", I still remember this line to today. I hope DMC5 will delivery some more corny lines!

Love how Dante let him keep the Yamato after Nero said “I *need* this” like Dante’s head clicked for a sec and thought ‘yep, it’s still in the family’s hands’ If that was intentional foreshadowing then the writers are goddamn amazing

My favorite quote of Nero beside the "now I know..." one - is probably "From that day forth. My arm changed. A voice have echoed: 'give me more power!' 'GIVE ME MORE POWER!'" - I can't believe in none of the conventions I saw - people don't ask Johnny to say that line. It's one of the greatest moments in the game and the line is so memorable and iconic to DMC being borrowed from Vergil's "I need more power" famous line. And yet every time they want Johnny Yong Boch to say a line - it's "send guys like you back to hell".

It is really awesome that you uploaded these. I think this series was on the brink of having a fantastic story to go along with its genre-defining gameplay. I don't the script in DMC4 is that amazing, but, the performances certainly were. DMC4 is the only game I play where I stop to watch most of the cutscenes each time I rediscover it. Truly fantastic and underrated performances and characters. And it is has been far too long since we've seen them. I hope DMC5 is in the works.

There's just something about that final part where Dante walks away that's so emotional. His salute in response, leaving the answer to Nero's question a mystery. The music. And him absorbing Yamato and holding his hand. It gives off a feeling that Nero has accepted what he is with Dante's help and is ready to move on.

Some people are born to play certain roles. So well in fact that no one can replicate the role as good as that person. We've seen this with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine or RDJ as Ironman. You Reuben were born to play Dante. As a DMC fan going on 9 years now, all I can say is thank you for such an awesome character.
