Ea are probably happy with every gamemode being ultra competitive. If your squad gets tested every game you play, the chance that you get frustrated and buy packs goes up. Ea only cares about money and thats the very sad truth

At the end of the day they want this because they want you to go to the store. They want this so competitive so the best way to get the best cards is going to the store. It is all about the store to them currently. And this isn't geared towards us adults who know what is going on, its geared towards the kids who have no idea about how this is and will do ANYTHING to get the cards. Mainly because how they get away with this being a E rated (Pegi 3+) game. They have these casino aspects such as the store, and overall player picks and things like that exposed to children as they explain it off as "Surprise Mechanics". GTFOH EA.

Good in theory but a person could leave and say I'll not gonna get better with a 99 team. Happy players spend money. That's why ea got it right for so long. You'd have x hard games and x hard for someone else. Always creating the thought I could get better if I spend some money on better cards. I'll get them wins. Only way to save current system is build a rewards system based on games played not wins.

I have been so furious about the game after the patch. Before it, I was progressing and had fun. But after the patch, I have felt that the gameplay has changed a lot. I dont have control of my team. Players are running like that are glued to the ground. My CBs cannot follow the opposition players in the penalty area because they are in slow motion.

If I can chime in as a casual player, Ultimate Team should be regulated. They should limit special cards per squad, and create a restricted list for certain players who are considered 'meta.' Every other competitive collectathon does, so I'm surprised that EA doesn't, and I don't think this issue can be overstated. I saw a lot of competitive players complain about the TOTY Messi problem, which I understand as a casual, because it's precisely the same with me in Division 9 when I face a full team of Icons. I'm fully content with playing with a team I want to use, which is Paris FC, I never expected to win a lot, but at least hold my own for a few divisions, yet I can't hold my own because everyone either has ridiculous loan cards like 99-match loan Haaland, or a full team of Icons and other Special Cards. This game is a glorified mobile game that we pay £60 for. Mobile games that run on a similar formula to Ultimate Team are free. It wouldn't be so bad if this game didn’t neglect other modes in favour of their paywhale game mode.

I like ultimate team for the grind, I'm more of a casual player and grinder as I don't play fut champs and don't really sweat it out in division rivals. I just like doing objectives and making my team better but I can still acknowledge where this game sucks all because of a lack of understanding from ea and just pure laziness. Only good thing about eafc is how icons affect chemistry and maybe evolutions sometimes.

I stopped playing and life is much better. When something strange happens in the game, it's not bad coding, it's not EA incompetence, it is deliberate. EA have patented matchmaking and systems that have you winning and losing to keep you hooked. Don't buy their games and most of all do not buy packs. It is the only way things will change. The things you see EA doing or not doing, are not accidental. Momentum/Scripting/DDA has been in the franchise for over a decade now. You can see it and feel it in the game.

You still can accomplish that in FC24, but you need to tweak your attacking width against the defensive width of the opponent and another few things. Otherwise, your players will stand still.

No, it cannot be saved. The never fixed the gameplay in all these years, but this year, its a complete mess. Every game is a gamble in case of gameplay. I got ultra slow gameplay, gameplay with players in mud, gameplay when players react with a high delay, then gameplay with speed x2+ and its just a mess. I got the best UT ever this year, so no complainments there (I play UT for 10-11 years now), but what brings me the best team, when the gameplay is just bullshit? I have done Hemp FS for example to upgrade from my Hemp TS - the first games, she was so slow, so chunky, then the gameplay was okayish, she was brilliant - so not the cards are a factor, the gameplay is.

Started the game in feb and im enjoying it a lot. I even made a somewhat meta team due to the very generous objective rewards.Idk why ppl complain abt the gameplay because no matter what it’s still gonna be “trash”. In fifa 13 people said it was too hard and too skill move heavy and fifa 14 im sure had issues, fifa 15 was terrible for the transfer market, fifa 16 had imbalanced pacing and look at how people talk about these games now as if it’s the greatest piece of gaming of all time. I like building teams and sbc’s, content creators have been hating what ea generate for the past decade and its tradition to hate on it. I’m on old gen and I’m enjoying it a lot, and it hasn’t been very buggy for me but when my player makes a mistake then it’s alr because in real life football players make mistakes too. I guarantee you guys if we had fifa 14 released now you would hate on it for “lack of content” or “trash gameplay” or it being the “same game” for years

Aside from the inconsistent gameplay, for me the biggest issue I have in this game is the lack of good rewards. The problem with all these 88+ cards you have is that 90% of them are not meta cards. In this year game, if you want a chance to win consistently, you need meta players. Let's take it back to the TOTY promo. On that promo, I didn't pack a single TOTY or a TOTY Icon. Even when they were giving out that free Messi, I wasn't able to pack him either. I busted my ass saving packs, grinding out rivals, qualifications, weekend league, friendly cups, drafts, squad battles, and objectives, alllll of that, to get what, just fodder! The only way to buy high level meta players is to get coins, and to get high amounts of coins you have to be a day trader, try to purchase players to invest in, in the hope you can sell them at a higher price. I dont want to be doing that, i want to play the game. These are the reasons i quit this game, EA know where to stick it!

I know this is long ago but I have 5 things to say about fc 25 Categories the animations, add a rating limit to the divisions to division rivals e.g in div 10- div 7 maximum your team should be is 86 rated and div 6- div 4 should be maximum 88 rated and then div 3 can be 91 rated and div 2- div 1 can be any rating They should grow this rating depending how high the power curve gets throughout the game Also they really need to lower the power curve so in the year the game releases it the highest rated cards should be 93 rated And then in the new year the highest rated cards can be 95 rated and and then 3 months later 97 rated and then in may is gonna be 99 rated as the highest and lastly release a promo each month, and also the same person of one promo cant be in the other one or any other promo If you see this as yapping then don’t worry, I don’t even know how I got the time to write this

I'm not into FUT but I only play seasons and I'm 153-22-50 and the game was horrible at the initial release but recently if you have a 4231 wide formation with 55 width and 50 depth for defense and balance and direct passing for offense is the sweet spot

if there’s one thing EA has proven, it’s that they won’t fix a game during its cycle. we have to hope that the next one HAPPENS to be different, accidentally. because let’s be honest. this is the meta they want if they want to adjust this game. BEFORE nerfing trivelas, they would adjust how compact and how deep you can make your defense. now i want trivelas as they are, gone, i’m not defending them. but we need MORE scoring methods. not less i actually don’t care that much about trivelas and other easy methods to score. i’ll concede 6 spammed long shots, crossed, corners a match as long as i can go up the other end of the pitch and string 10 nice passes together and get a scoring chance too EA ALWAYS takes away methods to score without addressing the actual issue. the issue isn’t long shots. the issue is nothing BUT long shots works. you make long shots an equivalent mechanic to the 20 other scoring methods we should have. you don’t give us 3 scoring methods and take away 2 of them. but that’s what they do. year after year we just. need. space. on offense. that’s ALL this game needs. everything else gets exposed after that. everything. you adjust things after that. the attacking AI is too good on direct passing because we made it so only 4 defenders can be in the penalty area at once, not 8? NOW you balance the attacking AI. trivelas even more effective now that there’s less defenders in front of you? balance that AROUND the defensive positioning. defending should be fun, and reactive. attacking should be fun, and proactive. not “i sit in a low block and wait for you to inevitably move the ball into guarded space” and “using the width with overlapping fullbacks and wide players, and long shots, are the only methods of scoring, so i’m basically running a set play everytime i get the ball, i know when i’m in my own half im already getting the ball into the right half space for a trivela” every year, and i mean every year, they take away a mechanic because it’s the only thing that works, and leave us with nothing. you don’t balance something by taking away stuff. you balance something by making other things better. but they nerf trivelas just like they nerf driven shots just like they nerf skill move chaining just like they nerf directional nutmegs they don’t get that we don’t abuse those things because they’re good. we abuse them because they’re ALL THAT WORKS. give us another method of attacking and we’ll use it! you can see that by how people switch how they play every year. give us multiple valid ways of attacking. don’t take away the one valid way of attacking

More high rated cards means they can give us loads of big packs so we think we're getting something but less chance of getting a decent pull due to how many high rated fodder cards that are in packs. Fifa 21 50k packs were better than the 83x10 packs they currently give us. Make no mistake, the increase in high rated cards is a strategy to sells more points and will only get worse

For me, yes. Just play for fun, if you have no fun, do not do the objectives, sbcs, weekend league, or whatever makes you play for winning, instead of playing for competition. The game is absolutely not fun if you take it seriously. You will lag, get DDAed, players feel heavy, all sorts of glitches, and never forget crash bandicooting out of the game. Just play it like you play a team death match in call of duty, for fun. Your packs won't necessarily give you mbappe because you got 11 wins in fut champs, nor if you got 7 wins in rivals. Just have fun

I thought I had figure thinks out with rivals and started to win some games, then the new patch came and now I have won 2 out of 20 matches, I dont know if its the patch or if the matchmaking have changed, the only players I play against are either op or have players worth several millions.

It can, but it would take a complete overhaul of gameplay and UT (if they wanna make it better) to the point at which the game wouldn't be the original product but instead and actual football game. And by then it would probably be fc25

The reason for more and more higher rated cards evert year is money, ea simply wants people to open packs every week so every week with the team 1 then team 2 then new promo with team 1 and 2 means they have to put the higher rated cards in for people to spend money, nobody is opening packs to get cards below the power curve even though 90% of each promo is below the power curve except for the 2-3 players that have a 1% pack rate

yeah, happens in other games too. They have a well liked idea or game mechanic and the next year they throw it out the window. Im all for innovation but dont destroy everything good in the process
