One thing is too noticeable when the bad gameplay occurs is player switching. You literally can't switch to the player who stand in front of the opponents, leaving them unmarked and conceded easy goal. That's frustrating tho.

Literally happened to me today. Was up 4-1 at HT and my players just stopped responding to right stick switching and 2nd man press. Which resulted in my opponent walking past VVD and Blanc. He scored 3 goals and it felt like I couldn’t do anything to stop it. I won 6-4 but i should never be in that situation in the first place.

Play since FIFA 06 and scripting was always a thing since FIFA 13 but we just speculated at that time. Everything got worse since FIFA 20 and i am real if i say that EA FC 24 have like nothing to do w skill anymore. The game decides who win not the skill. I’ve also always been talking abt the game being scripted but in ea 24 it’s literally impossible to win sometimes and this happens a lot. last fifa I was a consistent 16 champs wins, division 3/4 player and never had difficulty to qualify for champs but in ea 24 the first time I tried to qualify I couldn’t even get the 4 wins and I find myself in bad situations against rly bad players, sometimes I cant even take the ball from the other dudes feet or I make 30 shots on goal and dont score a single one and the guy makes a shitty trivela with frimpong and it goes in

The best thing you can do for bad gameplay is to go into your games list, pull up options tab for ea fc and click uninstall. I did this yesterday and since then ive had no problems whatsoever. Playing this game on a daily basis makes zero sense and you can do so much more better things with your time. I wish you all a happy new year

Can confirm this as the best solution! I uninstalled in November already and will not touch this or any EA game again. The inconsistent input delay has been there since FIFA 18 or so. No focus on that whatsoever from EA, but at the same time year after year they’ve made content more expensive and hard to get in Ultimate Team. Enough is enough.

The reason why a lot of people don't experience inconsistent gameplay is, because 10-30% of all created accounts are, for the lack of a better term, unlocked. It's similar to alpha accounts, the only difference is that alpha accounts have unlimited amount of coins and points. EA literally wants their customers to feel as confused as possible. One example I can give you, when you're talking to their customer support about having inconsistent gameplay, lags and so on, they will always tell you "Oh, have you checked your internet connection, or are you using lan cable or wireless?" They will always blame you, your internet connection/provider, literally anything, confusing you even further. They have never addressed the issues with inconsistent gameplay, because it is a mechanic that EA has intentionally built in to confuse the players. They hate self confident non-pro (casual) players. Balls that go through body parts, like through the leg, feet, etc. is also a mechanic, intentionally implemented into the game. One of the chief designers admitted that two or three years ago. Have you ever experienced jitter during a match? I bet you have. The jitter effect occurs when the dynamic difficulty algorithm has been "activated". Perks, playstyles, archetypes, is part of the DDA's implemented into the game and EA doesn't even hide it anymore. Compare the source code that was leaked a few years ago, with the descriptions of each playstyle. Momentum and some playstyles, the only difference is momentum is a hidden DDA and playstyle is not. I could go on and on, but that's enough for now 😅😉

I remember back in fifa 17 when inception FC got some traction behind this he was told he was crazy and KZbinrs such as Nepenthez and AJ3 said that “it’s all in your head”. Funny you mention CAREER MODE for this. On Legendary outside Career mode the game is balanced. But in Career Mode Legendary difficulty is RIDICULOUS. The AI is Super Human. Your players dont run, stuck in mud, slow, NPCs, etc. Its that bad.

Im an older gamer and have had the misfortune of playing Fifa since 08. I can tell you that the game changed around fifa 13 and got progressively worse. Most times the result is determined, im sure you have all had it when you batter someone only for thier AI defenders to block shots, keepers save everything and your passes and shots seem delayed. Only for your opponent to hump a hopeful ball long which your defender has covered but inexplicably he slows down and his player nicks the ball to score in the 89th minute. And i recognise (unlike toxic players) when its in my favour too. A lot of the bad and inconsistent gameplay and bs is there to aid lesser players win more games against the better player in order to maintain their interest in the game. Ea is only interested in increasing revenue and intentionally manipulate gameplay, nothing will change until they are challenged (as they were back in the pro evo 6 days) by a football game that lowers their gamer base.

I predicted the downfall of the Fifa series after they FORCED MANUAL defending. AKA TACTICAL DEFENDING in FIfa 12. They didn't implement this new manual defending. They forced all players to use it Online. And this was the beginning of the end. Why ? Because they never FORCED MANUAL attacking. AKA MANUAL passing. MANUAL shooting. MANUAL crossing, etc..... Pros play on their own specific server, one of them messed up and he had a separate menu on fifa where he could literally choose his server he connected to. The list was Amsterdam, France, Germans, London and Irish servers. When people mentioned it he refused to comment about it. In a nutshell pros/content creators don’t play on generic servers hence why their gameplay is amazing most of the time and they can cook 20-0 with relative ease

It's amazing how I feel about all the issues you talk about. And I only play offline to have fun in my career, or at least I try even though I uninstalled the game yesterday. What you call Tippy taps are a shame probably due to this new hyper motion with all 11,000 recorded animations. It very often happens that players touch the ball with little force and it remains not in front of their feet but in the middle, slowing down any movement or play you want to make. Normally the management of the space between the players and the ball they are controlling with their feet is something that should happen, largely automatically, with this new motion system it often happens that contact, control, direction of the ball, the speed with which this happens and the space needed for each player to move naturally with the ball is never right, natural or up to the task and players often end up having to make extra touches to try to follow your commands and also correct inadequate contact with the ball, terribly slowing down your idea of the game. Hyper motion has messed up the gameplay so much that even making a tackle is a miracle, with the fact that it happens a billion times that you want to take the ball away from an opponent or make a foul with a standing tackle and see the joints of your player deforming and flexing on the opponent's legs, registering a "sliding" of the body segments over each other without any effective blow that causes a fall, a tackle, a foul. Thanks for talking about the missing inputs during the switch. You're one of the few who actually talks about the REAL problems with this game. Maybe thanks to the fact that we are talking about tangible problems, this game will have time to become decent before the release of EA FC 25, although I doubt it. EA will certainly already be working on next year's game

Haven’t played the game since FIFA 18 but I can vividly remember another thing too : you can’t pass the ball to a player if he’s aligned with another player who’s offside. The game will always pass the ball to the offside player, regardless of the power bar, resulting in the offside being called by the referee and the ball being given to the opponent.

This is one of those guys who make proper sense in his videos. EA is giving us the same game for ages now. Scripting exists but in the form of randomness and inconsistency. I don't know if it's part of the inconsistency stuff but I also had this issue on FIFA23 when going for an air ball/duel, the game decides which of my player is going for it and there's no way to switch it (I use manual player selection ofc). Sometimes it even selects a player which doesn't seem to be the nearest. It looks like the game already considers that the player is possessing the ball because when I use the RS+LS switch, it goes into locked player mode.

Playing single player there rarely any lag, but the moment I play online, rivals friendlies or champions the connection deteriorates. And the button lag is detrimental to the gameplay and momentum at certain moments of the game.

I could live with not having R9 or some other top player than have R9 and during the the game, he feels like a truck. All those stats at that point will mean nothing. Here’s why I think EA have done this on purpose. Key thing to remember is that they can literally fix the 71 depth glitch in a hot patch, but they haven’t. And won’t. Over that last id say 4-5 years Fifa has had a massive skill gap for good reason, they were going riding the hype of esports so they need to vet out the best players in the world to start building tournaments, Bringing more eyes to the game meaning more money. Now that they have this skill gap to find the best its effected everyone down to the casuals. Casual players are now finding themselves losing a lot more to someone who plays everyday and coming against crazy teams in the lower divs and no one likes to play to lose more than win so they either play offline modes or leave the game completely. Ultimate team being the real money maker takes a hit, only the players in between that skill gap that can still win games are buying packs essentially leaving the game in the state it in now. They need money (look at the amount store packs you can buy) and also need you to play (look at the amount of games you need to play to complete objectives for pack and high rated evo eg. Llorente) all to show investors we are playing and spending. Now they have these ways of reducing the skill gap via input delay, slow players, truck turning. 71 depth etc so the casuals can come back in pack some decent players and win some games bringing more money back to UT. actually its the hypermotion that's affecting the responsiveness of the game, at this point fifa don't dare touch the net code because of big and messy its gotten however they add in new code to try and integrate the new stuff with the old stuff, if they tried to actually fix the core issues with the gameplay that would mean going back to the old code, which is the entire backbone of this whole game, sadly no one knows how long doin that would take and worst case scenario would end up with them having to throw away the old outdated code and rewriting the intire game, which in my opinion is kind of a tall order. My conclusion here is that gameplay will continue getting worse not until people stop buying and playing the game

Skill move cancel is one of the worst things to me , it barely ever registers for me . A lot of times my skill move don’t register or it’s the wrong one .. sometimes the skill move (rainbow flick) has crazy error when I’m not even under pressure

Regarding the completely ignored or missed inputs, I simply can’t ever shoot first time, my player will always take a touch even when the keeper or a defender is closing in fast. The game always ignores me pressing the shot button to shoot first time to force the player into taking a touch instead. Super frustrating.

This is a great video, highlighting all the points my friend and I have been saying over the years. My friend and I play FIFA/EAFC almost exclusively. It's very much our game of choice. We've been playing since 2003. We get it every year. We genuinely love it. The highs when it's singing in co-op seasons are unmatched for us. But when it has turned... oh man it is the worst! DDA is real. If it has to be there to help new players, so be it but at least be honest about it EA. Without that transparency it’s just gaslighting at this point. Give us a signal. A handicap modifier icon, or a traffic light morale identifier like PES used to have. It's baked in, it just isn't shown. The experience can even change during a match, making the “game of two halves” adage extremely literal. Dumb players one half, elite superstars in the second half. It’s so blatant. And let’s talk about end of half goals. I’d love to see a study done on 45 and 90 minute goals and the increased likelihood of a shot going in during those minutes. It’s staggering to the point where we (in co-op) say “45 mins” to remind each other to go into lockdown mode as the game will likely do everything it can to help the opponent score at that point. Anyway, great video.
