He met her when she was 14, about six weeks before he left Germany for the states. He didn't see her again until she was 16. Back in the 80s to promote this book she was making it out like they had some torrid affair when she was 14 for months before he left Germany. There is a lot of discrepancy in the movie as well. When Elvis was leaving for America he rode to the airport in an Armored Truck with the rest of the soldiers. There is no way they would have allowed her to ride in the same car as him and away from the rest of his company. Now that she has come to see what being 14 and he being 24 implies in today's world she has changed the story, and also says when asked by interviewers about Elvis not being interested in her sexually as being "personal" and doesn't want to answer the questions.

So this was 1985, Priscilla was president of EPE at the time with Jack Soden as CEO. Graceland had been a museum for 3 years and her book netted her a fortune as it sat on the bestseller list for 5 months in the US. I'm not a fan of Priscilla personally but this is one of the better interviews I've seen someone conduct. Terry wasn't afraid to ask her questions that were a bit spicy even if she hardly answered them. My personal view is she was right place right time. Elvis was vulnerable having met Priscilla in Sep 59 only a year after his mother had died. Elvis was pressured to marry Priscilla, many have verified Elvis stated it to them. Worried Paul Beaulieu was going to expose the relationship and ruin his career, Elvis followed through and did what he thought he had to do.

First of all it isn't all the truth, secondly why does she legally prohibit all the lovers she has lived with over the years to write a book and tell "the truth " about her. Linda, Priscilla, Ginger...their books all held a common theme; great times, love but also, living with EP's unhealthy habits, endless infidelities (well not so much Ginger as EP wasn't doing great his last year), living like vampires with his sleeping schedule. Also, as people we evolve and learn; who EP was at 28 w Priscilla, was different then who he was at 38 with Linda and 42 with Ginger. The reality is that EP was a great person and at times a great partner, but he had so much going on internally....Idk...it's very layered and I don't judge too harshly the shoes I never walked in.

I am a fan of Elvis but Priscila tells the truth in the book. Joe Esposito said that Elvis and she did not have sex after Lisa Marie was born. He was cheating her many years. He wanted his family but he wanted also his cake. Priscilla did the right to left him because Elvis could not stay olnly with one woman. She was a young and beautiful woman and deserved a better life.She had it all but she had not the most important thing that was her husband Elvis. Linda Thompson also said that she could no more be a support life for Elvis. His drug abuse was a terrible thing to manage. Sad but this is the truth.

All his friends told that his lifestyle destroyed their marriage. Anyway maybe Elvis was forced to marry her because they were together for many years but I think that if Elvis had a strong personality to say NO to some people (NO I do not want to marry because I can not stay only with one woman, NO I do not want to make silly films because I want to be a serious actor like Brando , NO I do not want to continue in Las Vegas I want to do an European Tour) things would be maybe different for him. For Elvis a true love and his only child, and same all for Priscilla but also I’ve always thought Priscilla was meant to be a star- she’s the most beautiful woman that’s ever lived. You could say the same thing about so many people married to someone famous. If Elvis hadn't met Priscilla he would've met someone else in this exact same position.
