met elvis back when i was 15, i was helping my uncle out at his diner while his waitress was on her honeymoon, elvis comes in and buys a bunch of food for him and his guys nearly cleared out our kitchen, then leaves a 300 dollar tip and on the way out he tosses me this gold chain and says "here you go kid, keep it, your a good kid for helping family" i still have that gold chain to this day, i also have a photo of him and me that he signed, he apparently really liked how i was helping out my family

My Big Sister had an Elvis story. She was working as a receptionist at, I think Arista Records, & one day the phone rang & the man on the other end said, "Can I speak to your boss, this is Elvis Presley"? My Sis replied, "Yeah, right, & I'm Ava Gardner" & she hung up. (My Sis' name was actually Ava & she was named after Ava Gardner.) About 15 min later, she had her head down, working on some stuff for her boss & someone placed a dozen roses on her desk. She looked up & a man, standing in front of her said, "I really am Elvis Presley. The next time I call, please believe me" & with that, he walked into her boss' office. She thought for sure she was going to be fired but Presley didn't get her in trouble.

From what I have always heard he himself was a nice guy. Some of the others around him weren't so sweet. There was an older lady friend in our neighborhood that was from Bad Nauheim Germany and was an older teen when he was living there. She used to tell me her ' Elvis stories ' from time to time, like how she and her friends used to carry photos of him in case they ran into him in a store or something and could get him to autograph photos that they could sell and make a few bucks. There was a time that this happened and she was carrying a stack of photos with a stack of stationary on the bottom. Colonel Tom did not like anyone getting ANYTHING for free and frowned on Elvis signing photos for girls but Elvis being the nice guy that he was would sneak some in . He grabbed her stack she was holding and while the Colonel wasn't looking signed a bunch of them but he just flipped it over and was signing the blank stationary paper. She got a bunch of autographs but not on the back of pictures that she could sell. She also told me about how Elvis' father and Colonel Tom Parker were really nasty, rude and dirty people for her small town. She said that the two of them would chew tobacco and spit it in the curbs and on the sidewalk. She said that was about the equivalent of opening their pants and urinating in the street. She said it was just like in the movie ' G I Blues ' to where Elvis was driven into town to the base in a sports car, only Elvis never drove, he had one of the entourage drive him in and then that fellow would hang out in town all day till Elvis got out. A lot of her friends would talk to him while he was hanging out waiting. On occasion they might be invited to parties at his apartment and she said she herself was invited once but didn't go as it was too wild and ' risky ' for a young girl.

I was so blessed to have met Elvis in 1956 at the Olympia Theater in Miami, Florida. My cousin was president of his fan club and she had called the theater and spoke to Col. Parker, asking him if we would be able to meet Elvis and he said we could. When we arrived at the theater, we saw Col. Parker in the lobby. She introduced herself and asked if we could see Elvis. He said no, that he was too busy. I turned around and saw Red West and asked him, "Aren't you Red West?" I told him what happened with Col. Parker and he said, "Come with me." We walked up the steps to Elvis' dressing room and he went in first to tell Elvis we were there. When he came back out, he told us to go right in and we were not only able to meet Elvis, but he signed about 50 autographs for our fan club. That was unbelievable!!!! Another thing that is unbelievable is that my sister, who was with us, had her camera and was so awestruck, she forgot to take his picture LOL.

My aunt is a HUGE Elvis fan. Been to Graceland, everything. She even has a room called the “Elvis room”. So of course, she wanted to see him in concert in Las Vegas. Well, she had fallen off a horse not long before & broke her leg & pelvis, so the concert hurt her, so she left early. Can you name one other famous person other than Elvis that big time celebrities talk about meeting or interacting with like it’s a huge event for them? This actually struck me too in the late 1990s when the 3 surviving Beatles (McCartney, Starr & Harrison) each went into detail about each interaction they had with Elvis. I mean I was thinking this is the freaking Beatles and they’re going into every detail about every interaction they had with Elvis. Even they were star struck. To each person no matter how famous they are it was a HUGE deal meeting Elvis. I can’t think of any other person that has had that iconic effect on people.

It was huge, and a number of celebrities were visiting him. Eventually, I was taken to meet him. He was in his stage costume, with a velvet cape and golden belt buckle, hair piled up in his pompadour. Tall, handsome. He was ELVIS. I felt like some snotty-nosed little kid as i looked up at him and said "Hi Elvis. I don't know if you remember meeting me about 10 years ago? I'm George Harrison?" He as very polite and pleasant to me. But I've never been certain whether he knew who I was. This is actually his story…As it goes, Idk what year, Elvis was going down the main drag of Greenville, when he spots a pink and purple plaid suit in the window. They pull over and he sends a guy in and purchased the suit. I assume they were on their way to Dallas. They left the suit for alterations and picked it up on their way back through. Although the old gentleman didn’t get to see Elvis up close, he still had the claim to fame as having sold a suit to the King Of Rock and Roll! Very proud! He told us kids that story many MANY times! Then one of them says something like 'You got some cool jewellery there' and he shows them his hidden gun and says 'Yeah and it's gonna stay mine.' That's EP's version of the story which he told to anyone who would listen apparently, however his GF at the time Joyce Bova tells it slightly differently in that they were not big Black dudes at all they were young kids who came up to chat to him because he did look flashy and out of place in his whole Elvis gear and in that part of town. That was Linda Thompson who said kissing his lips was like kissing marshmallow! It is true that he was even better looking in person. I had front row seat at a concert in 1976, and he walked right past me to go on stage. He was so close I could have reached out and touched him. I couldn't believe my eyes, he was so handsome. Definitely a throwback to some mystical Greek God☺️☺️☺️😍😍😍

Used to be In the South at any hair salon frequented by old ladies, you would get lots of stories about close encounters with Elvis if you mentioned his name. Even if it was just memories about trying to get tickets to a concert of his. Sad to think all those women who Elvis kissed in concert are dying off. All those memories gone forever.

I was younger than my sister Debbie and I wasn’t as big an Elvis fan as she was. I remember watching Elvis movies with my older sister - by almost 5 years and our Grandmother. My Grandmother liked Elvis too : ) I never went gaga-ape over Elvis or the Beetles. I liked Ricky Nelson. We grew up watching Ozzie and Harriet. I have never screamed and fainted over any singers or stars/actors. But 2-3 years ago I had a dream that I was sitting outside at a table somewhere with Elvis. I was so relaxed and natural and it seemed like we knew each other - like maybe in heaven - just talking and I remember laying my hand on his arm while talking. A dream you don’t forget. I woke up thinking I was talking with Elvis. We can have dreams that seem real and we don’t forget them. In the dream he was a nice person : ) I was watching a female preacher on KZbin a few years back and she was sharing about a friend of her’s having a vision or dream or maybe in the spirit but she was in heaven and she said she saw two Elvis’s in heaven. She saw Elvis and his twin brother that was born dead. She saw Jesus too and asked about two Elvis’s. Imagine Elvis in heaven with his twin brother. And laughing with Jesus : ) Singing in the angel band : ) We can’t imagine two Elvis’s on earth!!! I like Elvis’s gospel songs. Elvis did like singing gospel songs on earth.

We paid $25 to get in . Now it's over $100. When I was in a room where his pool table was they call it the pool room . I felt a presence in that room. It was a strange feeling. I have a gift that allows me to see and speak to the dead. I’ve been watching a lot of Elvis Presley videos and I’ve been seeing him in my room, outside my window and everywhere I go. Anyways, he tells me that he is really excited that someone still sees him today and that I should never be afraid. I get up to go the bathroom and I expect to see him in there but he’s out the door waiting, I finish my business and walk out to wash my hands and I looked like 👁 👄 👁 and he tells me that he don’t follow people in the potty room unless they want him too.

Two true Elvis stories from really good sources. Hughes Market was in Bev Hills. 24/7 market that sold booze but the cut off time for liquor sales is 2AM. About 1:49 PM the Night Manager gets a call from Elvis' people saying they need a big booze delivery for a party that was going strong. The guy I know - the night manager at the time gets on the phone and explains they can't deliver because of legal issues. Elvis gets on the phone and asks very nicely of they can just write the invoice so it shows the sale and delivery was made in a legal time frame. My friend was more than a bit star struck and delivered a big order of liquor wine and beer up the hill to Elvis' place. Risked losing the liquor license. Three days later a couple of Memphis Mafia guys show up and track down my buddy and hand him a rolex watch in a nice box. It was engraved with "Thanks ________ (my pals name) , from Elvis". The second story was about the famous flag football game that took place on weekends at some school in Bel Air. Regular players include Elvis and his posse,Studio Musicians, Actors like Steve McQueen, Kent Mc Cord, The Beatles when they were in town, some of the Beach Boys, and Ricky Nelson and many of the Nelson clan. Not everyone played every down but I guess it was quite the star studded game.
