You’ve likely heard about DMT. This powerful psychedelic drug is increasingly high profile. Although DMT ( the active ingredient in ayahuasca) produces somewhat short-lasting effects, this is a very intense hallucinogen that should be taken very carefully…if at all.
Although DMT may or may not be addictive, The Edge Treatment Center is more about getting to why people use certain drugs. If you’re relying on DMT to escape from reality (or to self-medicate), you may be setting yourself up for a problem.
Guided by a trauma-informed philosophy, The Edge Treatment Center provides a welcoming and serene place to address the roots of addiction. We’ll help you get the life you truly deserve. If you’d like to learn more about our mental health and addiction treatment programs, just reach out to The Edge Treatment Center today at 844-590-0403 to learn more.

Psychedelics dissolved 10years of my depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts in 10 minutes for me. When I opened my eyes I came back as a different me. All trauma has been dissolved before my very eyes. I understood what love and understanding truly meant and 9 months on, I've never experienced any of the depression and anxiety that plagued my existence beforehand. I saw every path that everyone had ever taken and why. It is the most profound experience of my life. Just my experience. I realized too that psychedelics are also known to cause out of body experiences altered perception of time, ego dissolution, complete detachment from reality and entities at high doses.

Psychedelics shrooms tend to fix problems at their core, unlike modern medicine which tries to fix the symptoms. This is why psychedelics work great for depression and addiction.

Haven't tried DMT, but I recently started exploring with mushrooms. So far I've tripped twice, and both times were almost like completely different experiences. I've struggled with mental health and low self esteem my whole life, and before using them I don't think there was ever a moment where I really felt good enough. But the first time I tried them I experienced so much love for myself and for the first time in my life I genuinely believed I was enough and that I had worth. It was such a healing experience. I'm attempting to use them therapeutically because despite going through other traditional forms of therapy I'm still struggling quite a bit with life. But if you wanna try them make sure you go into it informed and with an open mind -- especially if you have preexisting mental health issues ❤️

Dmt can be a disturbing experience but that’s why it’s so effective. The short duration makes it feel like a vivid dream which I think is great for shifting perspective without being stuck in a living nightmare in your mind for hours like bad trips on acid. I was able to talk in the corner of my mind while the DMT was simmering down and it was so cool to have awareness, I didn’t take enough for my ego to disappear for the most paRT

@@kylebecker3312 I agree. the sooner these recovery groups take the time to understand psychedelics arent addicting and / or killing people. most users are very well educated and have done extensive research before hand. they need to focus on opiates. HEALS them. ...But there's no money in that is there?

DMT is a reality switch. I learned to not to take this life seriously. After all, we’re all participating in culturally sanctioned group hallucination made from small mouth noises
@ARNOLDBme
@ARNOLDBme Ай бұрын
First off you forget that the main thing about mind altering drugs that make you hallucinate isn’t just seeing things but your perception of reality and that is the most profound and powerful thing about them and why the government is against them. If we all were for peace and love and satisfied with what we have, then weapons wouldn’t be sold and there would be no war and we wouldn’t buy from commercials to try to buy happiness. Capitalism would no longer exist if everyone did dmt. That is scary for the powers that be that profit from the pain and misery of people. Even weed changes peoples mindset to more peaceful, usually. The lesson of what the trip is teaching is what the purpose of the trip should be, not just to get high and see pretty colors and things. The native people know how to use the medicine the right way. The western world only wants to take and control. You have to give away your freedom of control when you do DMT because you realize that it is about letting go and just experiencing the journey
@SerDunk

aaand you NEVER explained "What DMT is Really Like"... At best that was the most simplistic description of the experience. For someone to post a video about what "DMT is REALLY like" and it being only 3 minutes and a completely amateur explanation of it, means you have never experienced it and/or have no reverence for it.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand that the complexities and depth of a DMT experience can't be fully captured in a brief video or through second-hand descriptions. Our aim was to provide a foundational overview, but we acknowledge the limitations of conveying the full spectrum of such a profound experience. Your point underscores the importance of deeper exploration and discussion. What you said about DMT effect is VERY UNTRUE. DMT is an agonist of the 5ht2a(5ht is literally shorthand in pharmacology for serotonin), if it was blocking the effects of serotonin it would be antagonist. Now that being said it is only a partial agonist which is probably what gives it its safefty profile
@TheEdgeTreatmentCenter
@TheEdgeTreatmentCenter 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. You are correct that DMT acts as an agonist at the 5-HT2A receptor, and if it were blocking serotonin, it would indeed be an antagonist. The point about DMT being a partial agonist contributing to its safety profile is insightful. I appreciate your input and will consider this for future content.

I must of did at least 50mgs or more of 5meoDmT on 2 hits of acid and turned back into God again. For some reason I knew I'd return back to myself for a lil self reassurance. I was everything and nothing simultaneously at the same time a swirling torus vortex of light. Everything made sense and comprehensible. Just as in dreams you just know things like you've been living that life for awhile, you just know you are GOD, and it had this mad feeling of familiarity like you've been there before. And a unquestionable knowing that this is what death is like. You are everyone and everything. You are God in human form experiencing your own creation though the eyes of the avatar you refer to as yourself. Or who you think you anyways. When I came to, it took me like 5 mins to realize I was human again. And it's like there was someone or something trying to convince me that I'm ME. It's incomprehensible concept to are human minds but makes total sense when you are tripping. I'm currently down my trip reports I had. I've had many tried every single psychedelic except ayauasca in my psychonaut stage. I have a drawing of this experience as well. I even met these like machine beings in one of my dxm trips that's pretty trippy even drew them as well. They came to me as a Buddha alien figure as to not scare me so they can deliver a msg. These machine consciousness beings were 5d and gave me a lot of info about life. -C.j Thompson

My favorite is "to escape reality". What does that even mean? What reality? We psychonauts don't escape "reality"? Molecules like DMT are for us to EXPLORE other realms of reality that are no less and even more real than this reality we are all collectively hallucinating. That can only be understood by people who have been there. So one should try a high dose of DMT or have some Ayahuasca. Then we can have a conversation. Fun safe travels! 🚀🧠
