Upon my first shroom trip, my depression disappeared overnight. It shifted my perspective on the way I viewed myself. It showed me that I was stuck in one way of thinking. This was unhealthy mentally and it was affecting me physically. Within 6 months of the trip, my chronic lower back pain disappeared, I'm sure it was due to tension and stress, and hasn't returned. I haven't been seriously sick since then and that was just about 3 years ago from the time of this writing. The oneness and awareness of the self within the psychedelic experience provides a wonderful opportunity to reset and shift your mental position for the better if used constructively and intentionally in the right mindset (of healing, forgiveness, and love) and setting (a comfortable and safe place, I recommend being outside in nature). Thank you for reading and know that there is more to you than you may think. This is a beautiful life and you may as well enjoy it for the brief time we're here.

@@marcusberns3746 I was 24. I wouldn't recommend it to folks who are younger because your brain isn't really finished developing until 24-25. If you do decide to try, NEVER drive, have a safe place to be, have someone you trust with you, and set some boundaries before you dive in. You're first trip can be super intense depending on how much you do. My best recommendation would be to do a little bit and wait an hour and see where you're at before doing more. Not sure why people just accept that "banned" is a thing in the US, as though it's just something that happens to controversial content. Our Constitutional Right to Freedom of Speech, and the tenets of our civilization, are founded upon the open sharing of opinion, knowledge, and individual expression. The only reason 'Ted(x)' can "ban" is because they are a private, contrived, profit-oriented organization and therefore control what they publish and produce. My personal experience with DMT, I was literally taken into another dimension, time was stretched, i was aware that i was dead. At this moment as youre reading this you are aware that you are alive, whilst on DMT you are friken aware that youre dead. Time was almost endless, when i got up after 15minutes i thought i had been gone for millenniums. I did hear beings telling me its ok, not to fear that they are with me, no i did not see them. After that trip i knew what another dimension meant, you cannot make sense of it there are too many things to grasp, your senses are all intertwined. I was part of everything i could feel everything. Please be aware DMT is not an easy thing to experience it is incredibly overwhelming.

Before trying psychedelics I was an atheistic, cynical, angry and sad person, and I lacked any sort of connection to the people and world around me. On my first psychedelic trip (DMT) my ego died and was reborn and I met god for a brief few moments. The rest of that week I felt so much more at peace than usual even though "meeting god" sort of shook up my atheist world view. Wanting to go deeper and lengthen the experience, I decided to try LSD. I took probably too much and had an experience where I could visually see my ego computing information. Thats when I realized my ego is not me; if I can view my ego then who's doing the viewing? This caused me to have a physical reaction where I thought I was dying, and again, experienced ego death. It was a cool fall morning and I decided to go for a walk in the woods. That's when I realized the sheer amount of beauty and love and good that there is in the world and it moved me to tears. I wept like a baby and it felt so good. The experience completely changed every single philosophical position I once held, it made me rethink everything I once thought I knew. It made me a much more relaxed and happy person. After about a dozen more (less intense) trips I feel I have purged most negativity, depression, and stress from my psyche, and I have regained my connection to the world around me. I recommend anyone having trouble finding their way in the world carefully, safely, and responsibly try these drugs (Psilocybin, LSD, DMT) preferably in the presence of an experienced (or at least informed) and trustworthy friend.

DMT is the easiest psychedelic to consume and by far my favorite. I don't have time to trip balls for 6-12 hours anymore. I can smoke DMT, trip for 20 minutes, and get a wonderful nights sleep before giving a presentation at work the next morning. I have anxiety and was scared to try it my first time, but the effects come on so quickly that it's impossible to even feel anxiety because of the loss of ego. I've seen incredibly beautiful chrysanthemums, impossible shapes folding into themselves, giant aztec mazes, the list goes on. I've learned more about myself and solved many of my problems from revelations I've had while under it's effects. It's absolutely incredible and everyone should give it a try before they leave this earth.

Sounds incredibly powerful and meaningful. Then there are others, like yourself, that seem to use them frequently, like before a presentation. How does that effect the life changing, special aspect of the substance and the experience? Forgive me for saying so, but to me it seems to make it more mundane? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
@Widderic Жыл бұрын
@@Katy-sh3ru DMT is never mundane. But for sure I have had some mushroom trips that left me wanting more. Sometimes they are weaker because of the amount you've consumed. My experience with DMT was similar to what William James stated. Rather than machine elves, I was communicating with my own brain (without words, more through a feeling that had definite meaning), as if it was an entity separate from myself. It was saying "look at what I can do". I interpereted the experience as my brain showing me its raw code. The home screen. It can load and play different forms of consciousness similar to the way a computer can switch from playing one game to another. We're just stuck with this game for now.

I view it more as a kid playing with his toys. He speaks through them and acts through them, but the toys aren't exactly him, they're themselves but an extension of him at the same time. From their perspective they're real and doing the things they're doing and thinking the things they're thinking but really they don't have any control. There's a story that plays out and they're just a little part of it but they don't know that because they only see through their own perspective. So essentially that thing on the other side, is the kid, while we're the toys. DMT is just the lens that allows us to see ourselves as the toys and see the kid playing with us, then it just makes sense. To be clear, I'm not saying this is 100% what I believe is really happening, just my way of explaining one of the possible beliefs, though I don't rule it out.

@@Hexnilium Don't take McKenna too serious, he certainly didn't as he was a bard and a poet trying to wrestle these experiences into words that are memorable and comprehensive. Right now you have DMT running through your brain, from a chemical perspective, there is no difference between endogenous and external DMT. True, astonishment can become a force as powerful as gravity, but it wont kill you, If I where you I would be more concerned about fear as this has the power to truly kill you (in mind, in spirit, and whole) no matter if you ingest DMT or not. DMT can show what is hidden deep inside you, but as a price it might demand that you face it (especially fear). Would you rather fight against something that you can see and know of or do you think its better to not uncover what is hidden in fear of being unable to deal with it. Both ways can be dangerous or helpful.

Great steps forward in understanding human consciousness! I've been keeping track of naturally-occurring dreams that I call "DMT-state dreams" whenever profound, vivid imagery with apparent symbolism appears. I can recall a dream from two years ago involving dancers with painted bodies who created entire murals by altering their positions relative to one other and showing different sides of their arms, legs, faces, etc. Each dancer had parts of three-four separate paintings across their bodies. They would rearrange themselves in perfect syncopation to orchestral music playing in the background and created a new mural (one of four) every few seconds in a loop. The choreography and details in their body paint seemed to come from another world. Probably some homemade DMT at work :)

Something to consider: Psilocybin binds to serotonin 5-HT2A receptors. LSD binds to 5-HT2A and 5-HT2B receptors….. DMT binds to 5-HT1A, 5-HT1B, 5-HT1D, 5-HT2A, 5-HT2B, 5-HT2C, 5-HT5A, 5-HT6 and 5-HT7 receptors. Choosing the environment in which you ingest psychedelics is absolutely mission critical. I had some good acid trips that helped me realize the value of time spent with my family, and the pointlessness of staring at a screen to watch Netflix or play videogames. I had another trip at a concert where I developed a pervasive suspicion that the world was surveilling me. That one took me about 5 years to fully shake off. The good realizations remain, but that latter one was costly; I didn't feel at peace during that period unless I drank. Which was extremely problematic. I would certainly recommend ingesting with caution and a degree of severity. Hope and aim to get something out of it in a serene environment, and it's likely that you will.

Is it a (non-exsistent) post pandemic audience or what? Bill Hicks would have been so proud of you 👏keep up the good work. Love the Alex Grey animation of 'Net of Being', that was "far out" ❤️

You find out that the meaning of your existence is to know you. Discover your « true » self, not what society and peer pressure wants you to be. Embrace your weirdness in all it’s beauty, follow your bliss and the universe will conspire to help you make it happen. In other words to know yourself at the deepest level…. is really to know « God », not the other way around.

The biggest issue with LSD is the affects are exponential in regards to Dosage ! which means that taking less than 500 micrograms is totally different from over 500 micrograms (500micrograms is where the line start to go straight up, on the graph ) Which means the words "I have taken LSD" are redundant really and mean nothing without dosage information Also even more important Is the dramatic increase in affects from environmental settings The most extreme and methods are opposite ends of the spectrum of course Alone in the total dark with no distractions avaible or total chaos surrounded by people in a totally chaotic environment These extremes enhance the ego dissolution to massive and lengthy amounts Because these extreme methods essentially send the prefrontal cortex to sleep It gives up comparing the now to the past and predicting the future I stress any 4/4 beat in constant time will keep the ego awake and massively lessen the effects of the LSD you have taken Watching any screen will lessen the effects even more So the conversation should be, I took 800micrograms sat alone in the silent darkness for 12 hours , I learned ....................

Why watching a screen though? I have noticed this in the past.
@gratefulkm3 жыл бұрын
@@Jimmy2shits I have not seen any scientific data in regards to this, but I have seen them publish the comparisons, so I know its been tested and confirmed. The chemical reaction that you can change in your brain that alters the LSD affects goes like this, melatonin, serotonin and 5meo, Its this chemical chain that you are creating, the same way a yogi meditating can create this chain reaction in themselves Watching a screen seems to stop this chain reaction process happening, So the affects are just LSD with no added self created extras.

DMT offers an experience that science is loath to explain. Often compared to the NDE phenomenon, both offer a glimpse into consciousness and its multifaceted reality. We are not physical beings, but asomatous self-aware consciousness experiencing the limitations of the perceptions of a physical existence. It is the reality of this aspect of our true nature that DMT and NDEs are expositing. DMT is a perception altering mechanism designed to steer us to the truth of our nature.

He gets one thing wrong here: DMT is actually *not* the only psychedelic compound found in our bodies; 5-MeO-DMT is as well. It’s a similar molecule and is also extremely powerful but it’s 4-5x more potent and has very different effects.
@nate54833 жыл бұрын
Naive question: if DMT's molecular structure is similar to a neurotransmitter, is it possible that it's just enabling parts of our brain to cross talk? Like how people discribe seeing geometric patterns sometimes, couldn't that be the visual part interacting with the space/quantifying/math part?

Good question, I guess everyone here is just an ZOMBIE affected and influenced by DMT that he thinks he just cracked code of reality. We need to look at it scientifically it could, I think it could be exploiting our neurons and higher level of abstraction of physical structures exactly how a worm in computer can affect logic gates, if you affect a logic gate in computer it will cause maybe some extremely difficult to trace Undefined behavior which may seem intense effects outside. It could be glitch like thing.

You say profound things - thank you for that. If public speaking is an important part of your future you might consider a speech coach to help you slow down your speaking pace. I say this out of respect not irreverence.

Friends and I had a DMT session once, I became taller than everyone as we crossed over. i was legit looking down as they looked up to me, it was then n there I knew I was psychedelically inclined to being spiritually advanced. It took alot of building up doing shrooms n stuff yes, but Ive been called in and it was the greatest era of my life. Ive had such a positive outlook on life, with my up bringing and everything, DMT was the one truly there for me at the end of it all.

It's starting to seem like every God or religion knows of this, but describes it in culturally different ways and humanizes it down more in some religions than others.
