Back when rappers truly put passion and heart into their music. When they had individuality. And when beats didn’t all sound the same. Not saying there isn’t heart and passion in today’s music but it certainly isn’t the mainstream anymore. But yeah there will never be another DMX. I think there’s literally no other rapper who’s ever had the raw passion, heart and energy DMX had.

I don’t know who else might have. But I k ow I asked for it. I lost my grandma just over 30 years ago. And even as late for me that he made this song it still speaks to my soul. Also, I don’t think X ever got on a beat that wants GREAT. He was just that man he had an incredible mind and skill and talent I would put against any current mainstream rapper. And he’d beat them all hands down.
