Same, but I had a good connection. I always played solo, and squads always came after me. Still DMZ was the best, I could level up by killing bots. Hated encountering real players.

The death of DMZ will probably mean the end of me playing COD regularly..it's the only mode I find that I can sink hours into without getting brain rot. A lot of my mates aren't buying into mw3 leaving me no one to really play zombies with so I just don't see myself playing that much should the mode die off. Really sad as it's by far the most dynamic mode of them all with loads of future potential.

I don't blame your mates, campaign has really good cutscenes, mocap and voice acting but the writing of events and missions somehow feel like vanguard and the new no russian mission just feels like it has kiddy gloves on, the multiplayer is just a dlc of mw2 and it really isn't worth the money. Its just a shame how cod has had some of the best concepts its ever had but it either abandons them or executes them so poorly people begin to hate the concept even if they like it in other games.

exactly part of the issue is no one likes mw3 its dogshit, so no one i know wants to waste money on it. everyone is gonna stick to mw2 until they get bored of no updates

At this point I don't think i'm going to get it either. I personally enjoyed the slowed down combat in mw2, I dont care for cringe sliding 24/7 and one shot snipers with hit scan velocity and magnetism.@@mallardofmodernia8092

i played no online shooters in years dont care about warzone or regular cod but dmz got such good feel to it - huge open map, potential danger at every corner my best moment was going solo in koschei comlex completly blind - reading all the notes and figuring out battery+cables stuff, using nvgs (i even thought it was solo map cs i didnt see any other players) its sad they wont continue it, hope it will return soon

Been playing DMZ since day 1. And what an absolute journey has it been. There are times when the game makes you feel unbeatable monster that can do anything. Then there are times when the game just leaves you in disgust and gives you nightmares because of how awfully things go. For me Season 1 was so fun, while doing BR was fun during Lockdown this hooked me differently. Playing with creators/friends alike, for me it became a mode where you didn't need to rage as was just chilled and a laugh. While the move to 6 man put me off for a while as I constantly got in losing fights whether I was a solo or 2/3 man v the 6 man, the last few months though got me back into it and just been fun as before. When teams kill me they expect me to rage but I just laugh as they kill a solo, had a great game recently where a 4 man pushed me while I was doing the Butcher Solo, I had kept myself to the Portal and made sure the AI Zombies were as much as possible so it would keep any teams busy, took care of 2 before I pulled out as the other 2 pushed, they followed me to Pharaoh and repeated the trick, this time managed to wipe them.

Thanks for the nostalgia. I've been watching you and Westie from the beginning of Season 1. I remember every one of these clips. So many good memories. I remember how excited we all were for Ashika and Vondel and all the other great content they added every half season. I don't think zombies is going to do it for me. I guess we'll see. I've never enjoyed a game this much despite all the issues with glitches and dev errors. Probably about 1400 hours between battlenet and steam. I have hope, but hope is a very dangerous thing. Either way, thanks for all the great memories @stodeh. You and @westie have helped me be a better player and a better sniper. One of the biggest things you taught me was to always take the shot. That's how you learn. If we die, we die. 😁

I really wish they would have just had a random spawn. Or at least change them up every season so that people don’t just spawn in and INSTANTLY take out other teams. Keep the players guessing more and I truly believe it would help balance the pvp, pve, mission attempts, contracts and all of that making the focus being surviving and not hunting. In my opinion that is what made for the best experience with this mode. When it was brand new and people were all figuring it out together. Once people either finished missions or got bored with missions it just became the new battle royale mode. The last squad standing gets the map basically. While I’m not completely against that kind of play, I just felt like it wasnt how the mode was intended. So much potential with this mode and this game though. Definitely the most fun I’ve had with a call of duty game since I can remember. Thanks for all of the stellar content!! ❤

DMZ is the sole reason I came back to play COD. I haven't played COD since 2012ish when I left the military. If not for DMZ I would still 100% hate battle royal. I was part of Fortnite Save the World; tldr: google save the world abandoned for battle royal mode. Anyways, I was actually really excited when I learned that there was a mode to actually learn the battle royal mechs and not die 5 seconds after hitting the ground. It is 100% a huge loss for the game to not add DMZ to the new map. Maybe not right away as MWZ is going to split the DMZ community if both were active at launch. The pve only players will be in MWZ until they want some pvp and this will bring some other zombie players that don't like pvp back to the fold MAYBE. But after MWZ calms down a bit maybe 6 months they should bring DMZ back on Urzikstan with new bosses to kill pois you know the things we want as a community. TL;DR they should stay quite on DMZ for now till MWZ calms down in 6 months and then announce DMZ on Urzikstan. If this isn't what happens the whole community should be pissed. imo

Hey, it's Tomo! I actually forgot that he played DMZ with you guys back at launch. I actually really enjoyed DMZ around seasons 2 and 3, but I admit I haven't played as much since then since most of my time started being spent regaining while trying to complete a mission only to get killed by exfil campers or literally run over by a squad of 3 plus that were just going around in multiple vehicles killing everyone in sight, then having to regain all over again. That kind of thing is fine when it's your job, but when you have a regular 9-5 and you just want to relax and have fun during the couple hours a week you get to play, constantly getting beat down by roving death squads isn't great. I get that PvP is PART of the game mode, but it feels like it's become the FOCUS of the game for many players, and I'd rather play something else than deal with that. Maybe when the new Warzone launches all the sweats and tryhards will go to that and people like me who want to actually do the missions can play again.

I wish IW would continue DMZ by themselves, integrating it into new WZ maps but having it as their "little project" as they first said. DMZ was a massive game changer for me, I haven't spent so much time playing a game before, actually focusing on progression and wanting to continue. it would be a shame if they decide to ditch it completely.

My friends and I were just rolling through an area and ended up killing the guys with the weapons case since they shot at us and we were just trying to drive through. We didn't even get time to breathe when another squad in a vehicle was rolling up to us and we were also hit with a hunt squad. We ended up getting pincered between 3 teams and we were sitting on top of the weapons case. I kept telling them they can have it, just let us leave but they wouldn't have any of it. The best part is that teams kept showing up for the case. We survived two squad hunts. When everything was said and done, my squad and I cleared ~27 players as a new squad would just show up like clockwork and get wrapped up in the chaos. Listening to other team's comms as they were sneaking up and didn't know I was in the building next to them just trying to survive while trying to get a bead on what my other squad mates were doing, never had that experience before in any game.

Idk why but solo no fill DMZ with just a silencer Pistol in my Sasquatch ghillie suit was incredibly fun. I could fight a whole squad just moving around being a nuisance. I remember I was fighting a squad of 3 when another squad came in. I went prone in a bush and watched the squad set up right next to me as they had their firefight. Listening to enemy comms as they got frustrated trying to find me would have me on the edge of my seat. Such a fun game mode and really the only thing I play on this game.

Got to say, I'm not an FPS player (I'm terrible at them and then just frustrated that I'm perma-dead!). but I do enjoy watching others play and the videos and streams you, Westie and latterly Phixate were doing were really entertaining to watch, especially those where it just looked impossible and you're down to one man and then make a comeback, or the random awesome interactions (Irish B3ans is a frickin legend - I was watching that stream and it was nuts!), they were just top tier entertainment. I'm sure there will be something else in the end, but a shame such a good source of entertainment is being killed off.

I wish Activision would put out more temporary modes that are focused on fun, silly, arcade-style modes. For example: A mode with only the base pistol and motorcycles everywhere (no other vehicles) and a circle that closes 5 times faster. Or a duo mode where you spawn in on a motorcycle, one person drives and the other person gets a pistol or smg with infinite ammo. Just be creative and try stuff for a week at a time. If its not fun, people wont play it, no big deal, on to the next silly mode idea. Add jet packs for a week. Eliminate all guns and have unlimited frag grenades with melee disabled. Give everyone in the lobby 3 lives, but if you dont have 1 kill in the first 3 minutes you're eliminated. Add monster trucks. The MRAP was a great addition for a while.
