This is terrific and very relevant to my Virginia-based 18th century research.-- especially appreciate the references to other authors and sources. Bailyn, in particular, is valuable and represents, in my opinion, the best scholarly work on 18th century migration and indentured servitude.

Unfortunately we are competing with 10,000 people in the arena! Audio is always less than what we would desire at WDYTYA. Sadly, this is the last year of WDYTYA as it has been cancelled. Hopefully there will be some replacement event in the UK in the future. But this is the final series of WDYTYA videos to be published.

Good stuff, thanks Brian. I'm starting to research my ancestors who came from the Edinburgh area to the US in the 1680s. They were Presbyterian Covenanters fleeing religious persecution.. Do you know anybody who specializes in this area?
