This looks very different from the method I performed: salting out method. I added RBC lysis buffer + Trenton and centrifuged at 10,000 rpm for 10 min. Then collected the pellet and discarded the supernatant. Then added WBC lysis buffer + SDS + Nacl and centrifuge again. Here I collected discarded the pellet and added chilled 99.9% ethanol. Centrifuged again and lastly collect the pellet, air dried and added TE buffer and stored at -20 degree Celsius.

wow, i am so Passionate with this, but i cant do what i want because i have anxiety disorder, i always shaking hand during the experiment, i got rejected from other laboratory so many time, anyone can share experience or advice for me. Best regard .
@chemistryinstruments71564 жыл бұрын
Maybe you can see a neurologist first to get an idea what is going on. I had some problems with that also, some lab stuff needs some finesse and it makes me nervous sometimes. Drugs are an option too for anxiety. I'm sorry it may involve doctors which are expensive sometimes.
@markgearing2 жыл бұрын
Identify what it is about this process that you’re passionate about. Is it working in medicine? Is it assisting in treatment? Is it process? Something else? Once you know what inspires you look for alternative roles with similar inspiration in which your anxiety isn’t detrimental to the outcome. Addressing your anxiety will be helpful in many aspects of life, but it’s a big world with many roles available. You don’t have to do that job; find one that you’re ready for. And remember, whatever you start with is just a stepping stone to your next role. You can work on reducing your anxiety and expand your skill base at the same time. Or one at a time. Whatever works for you.

Just try to be bold and focused. Don't be scared of making mistake. When your mind is comfortable and not scared, your hands won't shake. Pron you're afraid of the people in your surroundings. You have to work on that. Train yourself to not be scared of them. Because you're all learning and everyone makes mistake so please just try to first grow ur confidence.

Hello, when you draw blood from a volunteer, should the samples be kept in ice, in case, one has to travel from the hospital to the lab? ( to avoid DNA degradation). I am confused since I read direct contact of blood with ice causes damages WBC.
@priyankaflorina84117 жыл бұрын
you should keep it on the ice after 10-15 minutes prior to withdrawal.

No. The PCR test for SARS-COV2 requires RNA extraction from blood since the virus is an RNA virus it does not have any DNA.

Pharmacy, chemistry, biology, biochemistry etc. Enter university or learn from free resources online. Some universities offer their lectures for free only downside being you can't actually attend exams and graduate but for autodidactic learning there's enough resources.
