Shawn was calm and composed. His demeanor said it all, he was not defensive just calmly stating, "I know the truth of the matter" and he was right. It's unfortunate that Brandon totally believed his mother, who obviously misled him. However, he should have handled the situation cautiously because Shawn had previously wanted a DNA meaning, he wanted Brandon to know the truth at that point.

My advice for Brandon is to put his DNA on "Ancestry" or "My Heritage," for example. It will link him to his maternal and paternal relatives. He might even discover who his natural father is or was. That's how I was linked to my father through a paternal half-sibling and scores of paternal family members. My father died before I found out his identity, but at least I now know the truth.

I dont mean to sound like a male chauvinist, but men need to be very very careful in their dealings or relationships with the opposite sex! It is a woman who is indeed in a position to know who is the father of her baby or who was responsible for her pregnancy! Period! I really respect this gentleman called Shawn. He is a good man, but the young man who is very rude probably growing up in a dysfunctional home is a huge disappointment! I am glad that he is not the man's son! Brandon was hurt by his statement of "when you were a baby I loved you" but all it took was me to get angry and you quickly exit my life stage left. Regardless of DNA if you loved me it wouldn't have been that easy to walk away from me. He was done after that because he had the answer he needed of "will you be here through thick and thin" like parents are supposed to, love me.

And I don't think the grandmother is messy because I was in the same situation where my grandma was told about me and my dad denied it she didn't pursue me to find out or do a DNA test the way this grandmother did once they got the DNA test my dad found out I was his and still let all the time go by
