Looks don’t matter we never seen how the mother looks. Mother is probably bright like the little girl. I doubt she wanted the family to take care of the child. He was in prison however, the child is in a better place with this family and the deceased man felt that was his child and that’s why the sister stood up respectfully.

So sad even more so because they have no answers about what happened to the son/ brother that caused him to pass, i'm also upset with how the family was treated once they did find out about his passing. I'm also sad for that little girl who was abandoned but happy that even though she is not related to the family of the man that passed away, they have taken her in and still view her as a family member.

On the one hand my heart breaks for his family & the little girl equally. But on the other, it breaks for the little girl more. This whole story was bittersweet. They’re the only family she has and knows/has known.. and what she’s/they’ve been through is devastating. We’ve heard “I’m going to continue to love that child and raise them as if they were mine/I’ll continue to be there for them no matter what.” But this was one of the most emotional DNA stories I’ve ever seen. We don’t know what (if anything) will he told to her when she’s older, but I hope they continue to keep things positive for her as long as they can. She’s been through so much in such a short time & doesn’t need anymore hurt/pain, heartbreak or betrayal in her life. I wish them all the best & hope they can heal. It’s sad that he wasn’t the father/that they aren’t biologically her family. But the best thing they did was get custody. Blood doesn’t always make you family, but at the end of the day this is now and forever her family. The situation and circumstances that led to this, are heartbreaking. But the best thing to come from it is that this young girl is forever loved, protected.

True, but they did not treat him inhumane, did they? His heart stopped, he was a doner, so they kept his organs alive and organiced the operations .... They did not tell the family any speculations why he died, thats normal to. And they maybe can give you more answers, when they cut every organ open. But then , you can not use them for someone else anymore.... Things every doner should now. Yes, nice to gove your organs, but that can mean, that they have to keep you " alive" , or can not do some things.....

That little girl was sent to them. Eric sent them that little girl knowing they needed to heal in his departure and she is a focus for them. Regardless of her actual parentage, the fact is this child gives them hope for the future. Watching her grow, nurturing her and be good people to her.

My heart also breaks for the two sisters in the second segment (FULL episode) & all they endured. I’m not making excuses for the mother, in fact I wish they would’ve also given her a lie detector test. But generally speaking, it irks my nerves sometimes how Steve acts clueless/oblivious as to how f’d up and cruel the system is/can be. They screw people over all the time in custody battles and regaining custody of their children. I don’t know whether this woman was truthful, and at the end of the day if they choose to mend/continue to repair and their relationship with her that’s their business, But after watching that I have more questions.

I’ve liked Steve since the days of Jerry Springer (which Others made me watch 😔). . . Just something really special about that man. I remember being so happy when he found his partner in life. I always wished he was my older brother. My Entire Life Would Have Been Different. Can’t Imagine how someone like him as my Father would have made my life so much better. This is very sad. The fact the father and family fought for custody of this baby…. The fact the sister took on custody of the baby, even when she was going through college. This baby is of course there’s, they adopted her and wanted her, unlike the mother. Giving her to a strange random man, she needs to be in jail. I think the mother of that child knew the baby wasn’t his. I am so glad this beautiful baby girl has so much love from amazing women, who have so much love to give.

I have such an odd feeling that they didn’t have to transfer that man. They usually do that when they want transplants and because he was an inmate it was easy to find help and so they took him to another hospital to give organs and that’s how he died. I am suspicious of the hospital and his death altogether

Truth is, the girl thinks and knows all of these people as family. I don't see any problems just loving her for her own sake. Grown ups know, but kids will literally not know the difference.
