I've been waiting for this verdict. This poor woman watched her husband being killed by these vicious animals and survived the attack herself. The owners knew the dogs were dangerous and even paid hefty fines to get them released from previous attacks. These appear to be fight dogs and the couple was breeding more. They were breeding Cane Corso's and 2 got loose from their owner and charged after a very small, slim woman and killed her. But here we are with this case now. The animal was after the family pet , a small puppy. The woman picked up the puppy to protect it and the dog then went after her, biting and tearing her shoulder . Luckily her husband was home and heard her screams and was able to open the door and get her inside the house. She has suffered through two surgeries that I know about. She can no longer play the piano, she can no longer do her art , she can no longer even listen to the music she likes because of nerve damage which causes terrible headaches when she listens to loud music. Her entire life has been thrown into turmoil. As far as I know, nothing has been done about this dangerous dog by the municipal government. That’s a travesty.

After our huge doge somehow managed to squeeze out of a small gap between the gate & fence I addressed it IMMEDIATELY. And he did this to chase a car. The guy who was in the car was kind enough to slowly back up & honk his horn to let us know. OUR dog wanted to eat the CAR but with people? Whole body wiggles. We STILL fixed the problem the FIRST time it happened. These terrorized the neighborhood long before this. (Please don’t get a dog)

In fact, if memory serves me correctly, only 2 or 3 dogs from Michael Vick’s fighting group were euthanized due to aggression. Some even went on to become therapy dogs and worked with children.

Back in 2005, in 1 year, I met a woman who was permanently in a wheel chair because her neighbor's sweet dog ripped her achilles out, a man whose neighbor's pitbull killed his own elderly mother, a man whose friend's rotweiler ripped his own 2-year-old's face off, a girl who had a fake ear because her pitbull ripped her real ear off, and a man whose friend had to shoot his own pitbull because it latched onto his son's arm and wouldn't let go. I also witness a pitbull attack another smaller dog.

I could not see any sign of empathy from the Dog Owners, they seemed to have the ability to cut off from the pain and suffering caused to the victim and his family. If I had been the dog owner - if my dog had attacked like that, itwould have ruined my life as well as the lives of the victims. Lack of empathy, lack of conscience, lack of responsibility is the cause of so many horrors and problems in this world. The family will never get over it, but I hope with time they are able to find some peace in their lives again. I'd like to think that there are a tiny minority of people who lack empathy, conscience & responsibility, but there seem so many of them. It's concerning and frightening.

I've owned 3 great danes in my adult life, huge dogs and they can be very territorial and defensive of the family. We fenced, we used leashes, we went to behavioral classes for large dogs, we socialized them. Its a huge responsibility to accept responsibility for a living being. Dogs are not objects and if you are not prepared to go all in and learn how to be a responsible dog owner, dont get one.

I am a victim of a dog mauling, it was 5 of my neighbors dogs. My neighbor was negligent!! I fed the animals and thawed their water in winters, these dogs were let loose off their chains one night and came pulled me out of my yard and for the next 45 minutes I was mauled all over my body and completely descalped!! These dog owners, which I am too, HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE!! HELD ACCOUNTABLE!! Just a sad story, and in a small county my humane society refused to show up the night I was attacked and neglected all complaints for years. It's nice to see this community coming together, and holding them accountable because, I got no resolve, no help with plastic surgery, no jail time for pet owners, NOTHING!!

As a kid in my neighborhood, this lady across the street had two chow dogs she just let run wild. They would always be attacking people. One day I was riding my bike and they came after me and one bit my leg. The lady had the nerve to blame me for antagonizing her dogs which wasn't the case. Thankfully the pound was called on her.
