tbt time when ur voice not so husky and deep and could be heard clearly cuz i can't seem picture the function of exonuclease removing primers from which end 3/ but how and why doesn't oakazaki fragments join together

At the end of the DNA replication Rna primers are replaced by Dna material by DNA polymerase-1. And we know that DNA and RNA simply Differ in only 2'OH grp. My question is instead of simply Removing that 2' OH grp why cell completely replaces that RNA primers with DNA material?? And at 11.2 min u mentioned that Pol-1 performs nick translation. but it is performed by LIGASE???

Shomu's Biology Oh now that I re-read I realized I missed some steps. So RNAse H detects the RNA primase, Poly 1 replaces RNA with DNA complementary to the strand and then Ligase fills the nicks!! thank you for commenting so quickly and showing me what I don't know.

If exonuclease has to perform cleavage and cleave wrong nucleotides which is same activity peformed by POL 3 that does proof reading, how are they different?
@shyworthacademy4151
@shyworthacademy4151 5 жыл бұрын
DNA pol 1 and 3 both have same 3'->5' exonuclease activity, which is also called proof reading activity
