The reason why there are many fakes. Because Nike is very good in hiding - giving us consumers cheaper lower quality leather. When they do that, it is easier to fake them. I heard USA has some shoemakers able to customized AJ1 with high quality leather, this I am not sure.

Think I just got hit with fakes of wizard of oz dunks at sneaker Bay Area. They wouldn’t scan on the barcode through stockx. We went to other random tables that had them and scanned them and they came back as not scanning. I scanned a pair off a picture on an eBay listing and they popped up. This vendor is at a lot of sneaker cons, any thoughts or insights?

Justmy opinion as an old head but sneaker culture was sorta birthed outta what used to be the music subculture of hiphop and some aspects of punk music. Both were heavy into customizing your look and fit which included your kicks. So why wouldn't a custom be considered "real"? So what if someone uses barger cement and just slaps on fabric over AF1's, airbrushed AJ4's or has enough bread to pay someone with machine equipment to replace and restitch stuff over a sole? Like it's wild to want to even TRY to say "customs" are "fakes". As for reps, who cares? Too many people think sneakers are like stocks and bonds. They're not. They're shoes. Wear them mf'ers.
