Would you add a sub layer to all of these? If so, would the sub layer have the movement of the bass or be a straight sine wave

For the first 2 I would add a seperate sub, the movement isn't necessary to match, although on the second bass (the sine 'sync' bass) you could definitely get some interesting results matching some volume LFO movement between both layers. Funnily enough, I've done a video on sub layering on this channel too - if you're interested in techniques for that

They're simple but fundamental sounds, really good when starting to learn synth sound design. Of course you could post-process those into something actually "crazy", but I thought this was nice and concise information.

Big agree! basics get you places! the post-proscess thing is a good note too! the recipie for a good neurobass usually starts with a reese!
