@Joe M I highly recommend it! I bought everything to do acrylic nails with gel polish due to salons being closed. It takes a little practice if doing acrylics but doing the gel on regular nails is as easy as polishing nails and you don’t have to wait for them to dry!

Yes that happenes to me too! Almost restricts back and becomes smaller if that makes sense? 😆 I honestly don’t know why

The very first step is using the bond . I own the Mia secre dehydrator and primer as I do acrylics . I’m wondering which one I would use for gel manicures ? Just the dehydrator which is like alcohol that removes any oils or the primer which is for the acrylic to stick onto the nail? Sorry I’m struggling to find the perfect way for my manicures

Wipe with acetone right before applying to make sure there are no oils left on your nail bed

I prep my nails by filing them and no you not have to use the pH bond first it just helps get rid of any leftover oils on the nail bed

it’s the layer that stays on your nails after each cure just a bit of rubbing alcohol but unless you aren’t doing art it doesn’t do much but it does get annoying

That doesn't help at all. If u were using a darker color, we might be able to see which bottle is which. Cant tell if u usedtop coat or not. The polish duo days to cleanse wipe after???

The polish lasts me about two weeks with the PH bond applied before I start to make sure all the oils are off and also make sure to paint the edges of the nail as well

When you purchase A gel color it comes with a nail laquer of the same color ... the sell it as a duo. Do you know if we can only buy the gel polish

y. s. The DND brand only comes as a duo, the gel and the polish. Go to DTKnailsupply.com they have the sets for around $5.50 to $6.00 which is inexpensive for the combo.

You don’t have to even if you have some rubbing alcohol around just wipe that on before you start the nails it just gets rid of any left over oils on your nail works which would potential he make the nail polish fall off faster

@Meee The DND #400 top coat requires wiping. The DND #600 top coat does not. I’ve been having fun doing my nails...it’s a nice diversion to what is going on these days. Im wondering do I have to have dnd gel base coat or can I use modelones base coat. Also, I used the the top coat that came with it and it wasnt clear it was a color top coat.

Nope just an added step! If you have rubbing alcohol just use that it’s really the same thing! Just gets the excess oil‘s off of your nail

@quiana jeffers I read that using acetone also removes the oils from nails which is what I’m using since rubbing alcohol is like gold right now. I’ve had great results using acetone. I also read that using the ph bond is the best to adhere the gel to the nails but it also makes it harder to remove. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.
