fun fact: Chuckles was originally gonna be a one-shot character that wouldn't appear again... but he was so popular with the fans that they decided to keep him around to show up at random times, usually to cause trouble. he's sorta the mascot of Avantris, and he's a player character in a space epic campaign that they're doing.

That's similar to Torbek the depressed, alcoholic, homeless bugbear. He was originally a one shot character by Andy to fill in for Darek/Frost for a few episodes of "Once Upon a Witchlight." He became so popular they later brought him back, and now Andy as Torbek is a recurring main character of that series, and even joined the holiday crossover one-shots with Bitsy, Chuckles, and Briggsy. Ironically, Andy intended Torbek to be a sad, depressed character so things wouldn't go off the rails, yet they did, and Torbek became a popular and funny character.

There are at least two versions of Chuckles. _Once Upon A Witchlight_ Chuckles was an NPC created to fit the curse/twist that the voice of last person they killed says things nobody wants to know. This was very early on, so they hadn't killed anyone in-game yet. He resides in Clown Hell, but will occasionally possess Gricko because of Feywild magic. Then there's Chuckles the space clown. He's a player character in the _Stardust Rhapsody_ campaign.

@bunkerzero know that i looked it up, Gideon killed 5 clowns🤣 First was Chuckles. He got punched so hard he died laughing and his corpse was fed to the pigs. Second was Klutzy, Gideon and Gricko made a bet that Gideon could not hit a guy with the stupid looking tie some distance away with a "Impossi-ball" (soy based vegan meatball). Gideon hit the guy but it appeared to be a clown entertaining children. Klutzy got hit in the head and died in front of a lot of children. Third was Bumbo an elderly clown.,when they ran into Gideon's flaming hand that was covered by a hand puppet. Gideon claims Bumbo was allergic to felt, and also died from anaphylaxis. Fourth was Thaco, by not putting a sign near his wedding cake that says that the cake was peanut butter. He died because he had a severe allergic reaction to the peanuts. Fifth was a Bullywock (Frogmen) Court jester, we dont know the name yet. Gideon found a jar filled with pixies who he wanted to free. He threw the jar out the Window with full force and they lost sight of it. Some time later, a party was held in the palace and the court jester was doing a jig. Some attendents saw the jar coming towards them and tried to warn the jester but could not hear them. The jar hit him in the back of the head and died.

In the first clip Morning Frost was afflicted with two curses at the same time. First was that he would constantly be on the verge of sneezing but never actually sneezing, then he was cursed to become a noir dectective. They dont really explain it well enough in the clip because its mostly about Gidion's being cursed to take damage every time every time his player, Mace, laughs. Additionally, another character named Kremmy was cursed to constantly bang his big toe into things. Its an extremely chaotic episode in a chaotic campaign.

It's interesting to see someone dislike Chuckles. He's a fan favorite. I love Bitsy and Morning Frost, (AKA Frost, Frosty) both of whom are played by Derek. I want a campaign, or at least a one-shot where they are both in the party. The other guy are decent at imitating Frost, so I'd love to see how Frost would react to Bitsy.
