Words just aren't enough to express how grateful I am that you are doing this well!!! I did the "ugly" cry watching this video. I hope you are aware of the positive impact you have made on my life. When you sincerely said you are rooting for the rest of us...just, thank you so much!!!For me, the worst part of being this sick has been some devastatingly negative people in my life. Continuing to pray God will continue to richly bless you in every possible way! ❤

I appreciate your channel. Just some info from my journey, which I could say had started at the other end of the spectrum from you: I have worked at healing from chronic illness for two decades, getting to the point where I was pretty much 100% better, then suffering a setback (severe life stress again the initiating event, so to speak) back, and I’m working my way back up to getting 100% better again. I started my healing journey, leaving an incredibly stressful point in my life, by looking at energy medicine. I actually studied energy medicine with Carolyn Myss back in the 1990s, and distrusted MDs and Western medicine. I used pretty much every complementary/alternative form of medicine I could find, including lots of chiropractic, acupuncture, meditation, prayer, health and wellness practices, nutrition changes, exercise/tai chi kind of stuff, all that stuff and I finally got to the point where it surprised me to find out that I needed Western medicine and found it valuable. It sounds kind of like you started with Western medicine being of value to you, and as you leave it, you are surprised to find other things that are of value to you in the complementary/alternative wellness sphere. I just mention this because I want people who watch your channel to understand that probably neither extreme is 100% helpful, but somewhere in the middle where both types of medicine are complimenting each other is the best place to be. (In fact, look at the triad of things that are helping you the most now: an MD and western medicine technology tools, but married with DNRS/psychology/neuroplasticity, plus nutritional changes… A perfect example right there of hell both are needed.) The mind-body connection is real. So both sides of the equation need to be dealt with. I also have done the Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS) and had a terrible hard time understanding what it was before I purchased it. I have a psychology degree and a science/healthcare degree as a dental hygienist, and still I found it hard to understand. I read a ton about neuroplasticity and I guess the simplest way I would now put it is that DNRS looks at illness from a “limbic brain injury” lens. You can find a lot of complimentary information also in the field of trauma recovery, that looks at what traumatic events do to the brain, how trauma can rewire the brain and keep the body in sympathetic nervous system mode, and how that’s hard to overcome accidentally. One needs intentionality and practice drills. Then one more thing I want to add, for Rachel as you look at stuff in your wellness journey, is some thing that I looked at, and it blows my mind to look at it: EMF mitigation. Electromagnetic radiation is on a spectrum from low-voltage power lines to radio and TV waves to cellular phone waves to microwave waves to medical equipment, to sunlight, and heavier etc. radiation. It’s been hard to wrap my mind around it, as it changes along the spectrum. But the night I turned off the circuit breakers that affect my body voltage when I sleep in my bed, I went from sleeping 13 hours a night and waking up exhausted to sleeping 7 1/2 hours and waking up with probably 80% more energy. Consistently. It was super dramatic with the flip of a switch. I also added a fabric faraday canopy/tent from Safe Living Technologies. (Jeromy Johnson has good info.) I don’t think there’s a conspiracy about EMF exposure, I just think it’s incredibly hard for humans to believe that something unseen is affecting us so much. But what makes sense to me is that human beings evolved for thousands of years with a milli-fraction of what we are exposed to now, and especially at night when our brains need to let the cranial spinal fluid clean out the brain and let the body restore, if the body is having to deal with the effects of even low level, but chronic, exposure to some thing it has historically never evolved to deal with, then the physical stress of that chronic exposure/dealing is going to mean the other things don’t happen in the body that could be healing. You’re might get a lot of pushback if you start to look at that and talk about looking at EMF exposure mitigation, because people either think you’re a mad scientist or a conspiracy theorist, or something like that. Plus you have to control your own anxiety and fear as you look at it. You can’t let yourself be freaked out about it, which is sort of the opposite of practicing DNRS. :-). But I just wanted to give you a heads up in case that something that you want to look at in your healing journey as you continue to get well. Blessings to you and to all your viewers, Jessica (PS: maybe I missed it, but one thing I would appreciate is a video that told about the details of how you found Prolotherapy as a treatment, how you found Caring Medical (LOVEthrir KZbin’s!) and other places you might’ve considered or researched, what the intake process actually consisted of, and details about what the process was like. It’s been recommended for me but I can’t find enough information to tell me what it’s like for me to evaluate it yet. That might be a gap you could fill for your audience.)

Thanks for your thoughts on DNRS! It was recommended by my integrative doctor but I have been hesitant to take the leap due to the cost and initial time commitment. I enjoy following you & your journey as we share some of the same health issues. Your videos on IIH were some of the first I watched prior to stenting. I was a patient of Dr. Patsalides last year (I wore you “Stent Happens” tee to my post-op appointment and they loved it & wanted to check it your store) and am now focused on addressing other health issues. A trip to Caring Medical may be in my future as well. I too am seeing how a more alternative/functional/holistic approach can help us on our paths to healing!

I was wondering how you were doing yesterday. I saw a neurologist and he wasn’t hopeful that I’d ever know the cause of my fatigue, internal tremors or gait problems. He said they could be a combo of EDS aged POTS. He doesn’t know much about CCI. I was praying that you’re still doing ok after prolotherapy. My PCP gave me a referral for DNRS almost a year ago. The slip is still sitting on my desk. I wasn’t sure if it was new age or unbiblical. I will look into it and listen to some chronic comeback stories. Keep running the race Rachael! I totally agree. I always been one that feels safer finding health thru natural means. Nothing against medicines, if others can find relief with medication, that is great! But I myself would rather not use poison Band-Aids...rather find natural means like good eating, hydration, sleep, reduce stress, positive mindset and other natural things. I have found a great new to me natural product to get healthy, so we shall see what happens. I also deal with POTS. Thank you for this video!

I can really relate to what you said about how you have felt when going to the climbing facility and how those moments are traumatic but we may not realise it at the time. Thank you for your compassion and for sharing. I stared DRNS years ago, and did Dr. Joe’s Dispenza meditations. I start to get stable or better and then a trigger happens like “going to the hospital every week for a needle change on my port” and the medical trauma comes to surface and I just can’t go forward. I don’t know how to deal with this. I do visualizations, when I get to the hospital on Mondays, I tell my brain that I arrived to the spa. I smile under my mask, I just wish I could take a break from medical encounters all together but I’m attached to an iv, and so many meds. I have done DNRS support groups, so so much. I don’t know what else to do. 😢

@@jessedwards2912 Honestly I didn't have a huge compelling reason to go with DNRS over the other programs. I'd say the biggest reason was that I had heard more success stories with DNRS and I think its more well known. But I think I might eventually try the Gupta Program too just to see how they differ/compare. I've done some of Gupta's free meditations and liked that as well. DNRS does have some "cheesy" parts in it but they do a really good job of explaining all the science behind it. Hope you have a wonderful weekend as well!! :)

@@HealingWithRachael ok thank you! Yeah it all sounds cheesy and I'm definitely skeptical but I can't argue with peoples success with it either. So I'm sure eventually they'll prove how much our words, thoughts and feelings can affect our health and bodies!
