You know, there is ALWAYS something better coming along in the future. I had a buddy who waited a few years before getting into thermal hunting because he didn't want to spend the money on something that would be outdated in a year or two. He has now been running the same scope for several years, well outdated by today's standards, and he is quite happy with it and sorry he didn't get into thermal hunting sooner. As he said, he has missed out on a lot of chances to hunt over the years out of fear of buyers remorse when he could have been enjoying a lot more hunting. The Wraith 4k Mini is a good little optic and was an excellent value for the money when it came out. You didn't make a bad purchase decision at the time.

@@garygates5679 Thank you! I understand you are in the city, but Oklahoma has some really good hog hunting. My hunting area is an hour from where I live in the city. So I have to go and find them, LOL.

I watched the entire video, even though the likelihood of me ever buying an optic with all those features is extremely unlikely. For some reason stuff like this is interesting to me. Thanks for the video, Brian. 👍🏼

Hey Brian ! Nice to see you in a different setting and with dexterterity restored. l bought one of these optics based upon your previous impressive video. P.S. I still wear that competition Tee Shirt that you sent all the way to the U.K. ATB to you and yours, Will 👍 🙄

@Will-ct6qz Hey! Glad to hear from you! Cool scope. I hope you enjoy it. If the shirt gets worn out, let me know!

I've had mine about four days. I'm certainly impressed. The QD mount would be a plus since I can't decide WHICH rifle to mount it on. I have built a ballistic "catalog " for three calibers and two projectile sizes that I will actually use. I "cheated" on the one shot zero with a laser bore sighter at 50 yards and bench rest (vise)..next step is live fire at the range.

They seem to have got quite a few things right, regarding manual, have you looked to see if you could get a PDF ?
@CarpeSus2 ай бұрын
PDF is in image format and not not searchable. I asked if the could release a version that was and they told me to convert it myself. When I said I don't have the resources to do that, they ignored me.

@@CarpeSusthat don’t sound like good customer service, sort of puts up a red flag should something go wrong it might be sort it out yourself, good review Brian, cheers Yogi ✌️
@CarpeSusАй бұрын
@@rosalindstewart7013 I don't disagree, but there are different types of customer service. Usually the customer service concern is one of the functionality of the optics. Will they service the optics under warranty in a timely manner. I am sure that they feel that in their minds, they have provided a good manual and that is well and done. I am probably the only person to request such help and it probably seems unreasonable for some reason. With that said, I have been in touch with Matthew Reinhardt at DNTO on Facebook a couple of times who has been very helpful in answering specific questions about the operation of the optic.

I was thinking with how much they packed in at the price point, something would have to fall short. Still, that is a LOT of scope for the money.
@CarpeSusАй бұрын
@@Jack-Tactical As my partner, Ben said, it had all the makings of a dumpster fire with so much going on and it was anything but that. I really enjoyed hunting with the ThermNight.

When you shot the hog with the other rifle, was that a TNC225R as well? So 250yd shots are do-able? Thanks! Great review.
@CarpeSusАй бұрын
@Gareth96v1 No, it was the Super Yoter @ 60 yards as shown in the video. In a previous video, I took a hog at over 300 yards with the ThermNight.

Bet it's at least double the price of this model. Since the thermal is more just for finding targets, then engaging with NV, not sure that's worth it.
