I can't wait to get this scope on my airgun. I been wanting a ballistic calculator scope since they came out for the fact they can show you exactly where to aim at different yardages.
@CarpeSusАй бұрын
Yes, and from what I have seen of airgun vids using it, it works with pellets (apparently some ballistic calculators aren't set up for projectiles so lightweight).

Can you adjust the IR illuminated? It looked like it was a bit low. Also curious how to dial in the thermal zero. I would think it would be hard to see your bullet impact on thermal with paper. I also saw it had a picture shift function that I thought might be used to zero it based on the day/night picture but I wasn’t sure and couldn’t find it clearly explained.
@CarpeSus26 күн бұрын
I agree with you, but in reality, I think it is projecting straight forward, but so much of the shine catches the ground when you are at ground level. To answer your question, only the beam's zoom can be adjusted, not the direction it is aimed.

Hello. Does the holdover reticle move/change position if you move ot another further or nearer target or you can lock/unlock it like the Pard please?
@CarpeSusАй бұрын
@mtvagency4468 Hopefully, this will answer your query, but I have never used the Pards. Locking and unlocking as I understand does happen just by ranging a new target.
@mtvagency4468Ай бұрын
@CarpeSus so we can lock (auto-ranging/holdover cross doesn't move anymore even if we change distance) and then unlock to stop the auto-ranging . Correct?
@CarpeSusАй бұрын
@mtvagency4468 When the LRF is ranging, say you range the given target at 321 yards, you set the distance and via the ballistic calculator, an adjustment is made to the crosshairs which will remain until you go back to active ranging.

Does muzzle flash have any negative effect to the Night Vision?
@CarpeSus2 ай бұрын
@@mdn3518 Muzzle Flash will produce a visual flash through the scope. The real issue on calm days is the smoke and debris from the shot. When using an IR illuminator, the smoke and debris will reflect the IR illuminator. In a breeze, you may hardly notice it. In very calm conditions, the smoke may hang in the air and blind the shooter until the smoke clears. With thermal, this is not an issue.
How clear is it on thermal mode zoomed in? Currently don’t own a thermal and wanting one
@CarpeSus2 ай бұрын
@WvMnts Thermal is not the strong optic here. It is only 256 resolution. The image only gets worse with digital zooming ( as with all digital zooming). At 2 times mag it is 128 resolution, or 1/4 of what it was.

Good questions. I am not ditching the ThermNight. I am returning it. It and the Super Yoter LRF are loaners, as have been numerous other scopes I have demo'd on my channel. The Super Yoter LRF is running $4650 from what I see online.
