I agree with trading MPJ, but you know it’s rough for him since he has been the nuggets second best player this year arguably and this is home for him. This isn’t some young player or a player that like a one or two year rental. You can see how every shot carries so much weight for him, and he is aware he’ll probably go to a non play off team. Hopefully someone in the nuggets organization gives him a conversation and is truthful cause at the minimum, he deserves that

I'm glad we won the game but Malone got away with spamming the Jokic button this game. The offensive flow in crunchtime was gunked up b/c Malone still doesn't trust MPJ. Mike has his flaws, but you have to have spacing if you want the two man game of Jokic/Murray to be effective. Better teams are going to punish this better.

I still love the nuggets but it just feels cumulative years of bad decisions from the front office have given us a pretty bad roster. We got zeke nnaji making way more money than Russ, the Dario contract, Jalen Pickett?!! Even if we manage to scam some other team on an MPJ trade it’s hard to imagine it having a big enough impact on our overall roster for us to suddenly become a contender. I think we just gotta accept it and be happy we don’t live in Utah.

MPJ has been adding to his game this season: driving more, using his size, assisting... it must be rough adapting to what the team needs to later be in trade rumors when Jamal has been playing like shit on defense. Is someone else waiting to hear one smart thing from these guys? Jokic was holding off from shooting for most of the game, so the rest of the team can learn how to play. And this team does not ride with Jokic, they ride on Jokic. And if Jokic sets the tone, the rest of the guys do not fall in line, they just serve as contrast to his greatness. Keep Jokic and AG for what they are, MPJ, CB, Watson and Strawther for their youth and potential, Westbrook for being great deal. Everyone else AFUERA!

@@fantumphool Yeah, I don't have an issue with him putting MPJ on the bench at the end of the game...he was playing awful on both sides of the ball.....but he hasn't and would never do the same thing to Murray....I think anyone who's watched this team for years knows it and I'm sure the other players know it too. And there's been instances this season where he should have.

the nuggets offense is on par with the best-of-the best: cleveland, celtics, okc, girzzlies, etc. but their defense is so terrible, they make bottom feeding teams look like superteams, and questionable players look like legitimate superstars. against the nuggets, the jordan pooles, and dejounte murrays, and norman powells look like curry, sga or luka - unstoppable.

CB is not the same player as at the beginning of the season, in the last 8 games he returned to what he was last year. Jokic started off great, he didn't score points, but he had 6 rebounds and 5 assists and didn't look bad defensively. After those fouls attributed to him, where in one of them he is standing next to the hoop with his hands close to his body and that of Misse bounces off him and scores a cross and the referees call a foul on Jokic, completely wrong and without contact by Jokic, where you can see from his expression that he's had enough of it. The narrative of allowing a solid game is BS tonight is one of the few games where it was played 70-30 in favor of the Pelicans, it was the same with Portland. MPJ is getting worse and worse and talk of a trade that will not happen will turn MPJ into Jamal. Gordon with 17 points, a very weak game for most of the game. Julian is a complete disaster defensively, and the PW who is supposed to dominate the players guarding him still fumbles wobbly, with Bambi steps on the field and very poor hand coordination. Jamal has improved from what he was, I hope the Nuggets management will manage to make a trade with the help of Zeke, Saric, Pickett, Tyson, Cancar and even Julian for two role players who will come off the bench because Denver is too weak with this kind of roster and the players are aware of it.

Another life and death struggle we, like most of our games this season, we could so easily have lost and another game where the best scorer in the league decides to barely shoot in the first half/three quarters which is why we lost the 1 seed last year in game 82. Jokic had 5 FGA in the first half and 1 was an offensive rebound. He had 10 in total the first three quarters and I think at least 2 were offensive rebounds and he still left it late in the third to start shooting more. Does Malone actually have a brain? He knows the best Jokic is aggressive Jokic and that he could easily score 40 a night but he allows him to do this time and time again. He should be taking a minimum of 20 shots per game and starting early. But ''Nuggets basketball'' doe I know we can't have Jokic going crazy every night but we need him aggressive and going to the rim. Everytime he stats doing that, duh, we close the gap or establish one because it's the most surefire way of us getting points. We need aggressive Jokic every night, the problem is we need cover for him when he's off court or we need to rest him so he isn't burnt out by the end of the season but Malone allows Jokic to keep doing this. I don't even want to watch this team anymore they are so frustrating

Everyone should ask themselves: why is Jok playing this way now, versus how he played at the start of the year, where he balled out and looked like a clear favorite for another MVP? I think he’s mentally exhausted & frustrated with having to be everything to this team, night in and out. He’s frustrated with Murray. Frustrated with Malone. Annoyed that the bench largely sucks again, watching Zeke play, watching Saric. Two guys who are supposed to alleviate him, who obviously cannot. Jok is human, you guys have to remember that. Booth & Malone still need to be fired for the havoc they’ve caused to this roster. Josh better do right by Jok & right by the fans and right this ship this offseason.

Last 2 weeks (min 4 games played) most PPG + APG + RBG + SPG + BPG: Wemby 49.5 Durant 47 AD 46.25 Sabonis 44.75 Jokic 44.5 De’Aaron Fox 39.75 Jamal Murray 38.25 Most 4th qt points the last 10 days? Durant 44 points (11 PPG) Murray 40 points (10 PPG) Murray has had more clutch makes in the final 0-120 seconds the last 2 weeks in the NBA then anyone including two makes @ Kings & @ Pelicans with :09 seconds left to take lead and tie. I 100% get being frustrated with his health and slow starts pre early December 3yrs in a row now, BUT now 3 yrs in a row starting around December 8 he’s started playing very well! Stop hate watchin him! Even if you want him gone this summer that’s only realistic if he plays at a 22, 7, 4, 1.5 stocks on 49/40/88 type splits as he’s been in regular season on the whole post December 8 since 22-23. I’m a big Jokic fan too, but some Joker/Nuggets fans have gotta stop with this self fulfilling prophecy watching the team saying “he has no help”, “Murray sucks” etc etc especially when it’s clearly not true when the team is at its best. The frustration makes sense when guys hurt or not playing their best, but ignoring when everyone else is at their best (starters mostly) around Jokic isn’t a solid 2-5 is disingenuous. Yes they could be better (as some of the best teams ever & in NBA now like Celtics Thunder), but it also could be worse (Cavs 03-10 with LeBron, Rockets 87-93 for Hakeem, a lot 60s teams for Big O & Wilt compared to loaded AF Celtics, most of KG’s first 13 yrs for the Wolves, many of the teams for Reggie Miller, Dominique Wilkins, George Iceman Gervin, many of Jerry West & Elgin Baylor teams compared to loaded AF Celtics in 60s). You can’t just pretend Murray 20/23 playoffs on way to WCF/🏆(39 games!) he didn’t AVERAGE an ELITE 26, 7, 5, 1.5 stocks on 49/42/93 (54/52/95 in 4th most PPG in the 4th of ANYONE at 8.2 PPG in 4th)! No player ever over any 39 game streak NBA playoff history has averaged those stats and at least those splits (look it up on Stathead). We can’t forget/pretend Murray in two CONFERENCE FINALS didn’t AVERAGE 28.3 6.4 5.2 2.4 stocks 64% TS% +3 per game Can’t forget/pretend he didn’t have a 30 point triple double in game 3 of the FINALS (joining Jokic LeBron Curry Worthy as the only 5 EVER to do it on a team that won title!). In that FINALS Murray became 4th player EVER to avg 20+ PPG, 10+ APG (Bron 2X, Magic 2X, MJ 1X & Mal). Since points per 100 started (1973-74) in Playoffs here is the order of guys to avg more PP100 (points per 100) then Jamal Murray (min 65 games like Mal & min 52.6% eFG% like Mal): Jokic 37.2 Durant 36.8 LeBron 36.7 Giannis 36.6 Curry 35.8 Shaq 34.7 Hakeem 33.7 JAMAL MURRAY 32.0 Kareem 31.0 (he would be Top3-5 for sure if pp100 started 1970 vs 1974) Kawhi 30.8 Reggie Miller 30.5 Charles Barkley 30.0 That’s the top12 since 1974 playoffs to have played at least 65 games and be at least as efficient as Murray! All Top75 players all time! He’s also the best 4th quarter playoff player of the 2020s on a per game basis (he has the 5th most 4th/OT points of ANYONE in the 2020s even though he missed 21/22 or else he’d be #1 with splits that are insane 51/47/94!). Instead of hate watching Murray try and remember his peak (whether you want him here long term or not that’s for the best!).
