Had to 3D print a tool to open the access hole on the gas tank of my Volkswagen. Printed tools to adjust the carburetor on my weed eater. Several things, have fun

You’re not proving anything by holding a glasses case closed. Irwin clamps, and other clamps like that, are used in construction, woodworking, etc. I would have tried a bit more of a serious example.

We honestly had no better example to use my 3D printed clamps on because we aren’t familiar with woodworking. The printed clamps are not as strong as the Irwin clamps but we still found them helpful becuase our projects typically don't require strong clamping strength. We appreciate your feedback and will try to use better examples.

@PMPrintsAlso to point out, the Irwin clamp can be used one handed. In this example you used one hand to hold it, and one to clamp. Whereas your clamp you had to use your hand to hold the case, your torso to brace it and then the other hand to clamp it. Try making yours one handed or something of equivalent function. It's not a proprietary technology, lots of tools have the stepper movement.

This was a good video, I have a 3d printer and never thought of tools. Would be cool to see some Timelapse builds when talking about the tools

Ok we’ll start doing timelapse builds in future videos. Thanks for the support!

Fire🔥. Can you make a a multi-functional Screw Driver, with different adjustable tips?

Ok we can try to make one in a future video.

4:00 can't someone just use a caliper to get diameter? if you're into 3D printing, you probably have caliper by now right? or you could even 3D print a simple caliper and use that for more things than just radius.

We actually have calipers, but they aren't always effective. In the case of the Chap Stick, Calipers would work because it is perfectly round. However, we had a broken baseboard piece on our wall the other day and we couldn't use calipers to get a good read so we ended up using a radius gauge instead. This allowed us to fit a replacement cleanly into place.

@PMPrints ooh i didn't know that. thank you for the tip

Yeah, the clamp is useless for real world work that the Irwin is designed for and is waaaaay slower. The vice has the same problem. The utility blade is also not the same tool. The 3d printed one is a box cutter. The utility knife is not.
