Do Aftermarket Exhaust Mods Void or Affect Your Motorcycle Warranty?

In India, almost every Enfield owner installs an Aftermarket exhaust without bothering about warranty. Secondly Kawasaki dealership ‘officially’ sells ‘Arrow’ exhaust for Vulcan !

Yes, it's crazy. Kawasaki offers a free Akropovic exhaust with some of the new Z900RS models. And to think they might not accept a warranty issue based on its failure! :)

The funny thing is all these manufacturers have an approved accessories range, including exhaust. Fit these at a premium price you are fine.

Just put a Two Brothers exhaust on my new 2019 .And I love it and yes I still have my factory one in my garage.i do all my own work so I don't need the dealership I find most to be dishonest.

Good report and advise. I highly doubt that I will ever buy a brand new bike. I have an aftermarket on my 2009 Vulcan 900 classic looks good very very loud. This weekend I did the ride I told you about around Central Utah really beautiful awesome sights. If I would have taken all the pictures I wanted to I'd still be there taking pictures. But with that said I bought my bike used And the guy that owned it was a deputy sheriff in a nearby town. I told him I thought about replacing the exhaust system with the stock because of how loud it was. he said to keep the exhaust system that's on there because the loudness will put other drivers on notice and probably keep me safer. I agreed with him. The only disadvantages when any of my friends ride behind me it's very loud for them. But they have the option either riding in front of me or lagging behind. Keep up the good work!

Is so simple, keep old exhaust happens and before you ever get it service just put it back. That’s it. Don’t mention nothing about an exhaust.

Heya @ trip on two wheels when I had my old 2012 spyder rs, my Yoshimura pipe exploded lol. I wish I could send you or post that picture but it had a fist size hole in it, previous owner had put it in possibly without the proper adjustments. I bought it used from the dealership I bought my KVS 650 from, boy they were surprised.

Tripp On Two Wheels it exploded outwards luckily away from the rear wheel, the spring flew off hitting my thigh it was a rare thing but i haven’t sent t back for repair yet it’s in my garage I may just do to re sell it later.

Tripp On Two Wheels it did hurt like hell for s few hours, but after I got home I zip tied everything up and bought a two brothers and had it installed pretty quickly. I’m just happy that the rear tire wasn’t blown out, had it happened to the other side it would have blown into the tire. The bruise was short lived, but the story of having a Yoshimura actually explode is almost legendary st that dealership lol. I may add a new exhaust later, with the baffle for s nice throaty sound. I’m now more worried about exhausts blowing up with my luck lol, but I think the KVS will be nice with the PC and an Arrow or Two Brothers exhaust in matte black
