Enjoyable watch, if all the supporters are of a similar age, would be Interesting compare these comments to that of a cohort of older supporters ideally pre Premier League and a mixture of age groups. I was 4 weeks old when we last won a domestic trophy and 14 when the Fairs Cup miracle happened. The Toon are club powered by emotion, passion and optimism. My only plan is to stay above ground long enough to see a cup or the PL trophy lift. Even if it may well do us of a mature vintage in. If we had the same freedom as Chelsea and City before FFP arrived the playing staff would look vastly different., in Eddie I trust, although his 3rd season will be his most important ,

Botmans ACL tear was not diagnosed incorrectly, Botman decided to manage the tear and play with it, you don't always need surgery even for an ACL tear anymore players can come back Botman decided to do that. I don't think anyone can force another person to undergo surgery when they don't want to. I think Botman was wrong with the treatment he chose, but it is his body.

Hmm, it's not ideal when a player decides to more than run it off like. It was down to the management to rest him..not having a pop a Eddie tho..he's doing fantastic still..perhaps even better than last season all things considered.

@deanlatimer2323 Botman had a specialist backing him up that treating without surgery was possible and so he went down that route, unfortunately I don't think even management can force a player to have surgery it is their body after all.

Totally agree, but he didn't have to select him? I don't think any player who over rides his coach ..gashford perhaps...whatever, its turned out to be very costly for player, club and hopefully his " specialist " !

@deanlatimer2323 I don't think Howe is of the attitude that in medical decisions he knows best, he allows the players to feel their own body and trusts them to be honest backed up by actual medical Dr's. Not selecting him would cause more issues I think, as it sends the mesage it doesnt matter what you feel with your body or what medical people say Howe thinks he knows best all the tlme. Better to be allowing the player to use medical advice, but hopefully Botman has learned from this.its not like Botman refused to get treatment without any scientific back up, he had someone learned in the subject on his side.

Eddie said Injuries are about may factors, at the end of the day it is down to the player, if they are saying they are good to play then what can you do, they are individuals and it is their career and job, you can only give advice, you cannot make someone do something they dont want too, also we was desperate for players! St James Park - Sorry but we need a brand new stadium, 80,000 seater, ultra modern, retractable pitch and roof like Real Madrid, it will host concerts and NFL, we hold the magic weekend so why not more, we need the income to combat the FFP bullshit!

Because our bench against AC Milan on the first Champions League game was: Substitutes 3Dummett 6Lascelles 9Wilson 13Targett 15Barnes 18Karius 20Hall 21Livramento 24Almirón 32Anderson 67Miley 84Harris They are mostly pretty good, while City apparently have the best depth in the world and they brought on Doku, Kovaic who so average and Alvarez who is good tbf against Real Madrid.

Dummet is bad, Lascelles is a 4th choice CB, Wilson is a good finisher, Targett hasn't been fit all season, Barnes great direct player, Karius (I mean, he wasn't gonna play), Hall is a kid that just come in, Tino not playing ahead of Trips at that point and just come in, Miggy has only had one purple patch and doesn't provide anything else of note, Anderson just coming off League Two Bristol Rovers, not a game changer, kid that needs to grow. Miley 17 year old, brilliant but never gonna play that game and Harris? Don't think he's been on the bench since.
