I had been hitchhiking around the world when the pandemic brought me back to Australia and have been waiting to continue ever since. But a couple of months ago I committed to a job so now that we can finally leave, I won't be leaving so soon. But if I were about to leave, my top two choices for the past year or more have been Taiwan and Thailand.
@AbsoluteZero67142 жыл бұрын
A lot of foreigners say they like Taiwan, and I’m from the same cultural background (I’m Chinese-Canadian with mainland parents), and it’s good for a while but you do start feeling limited and it gets quite mundane after the first year or two. Thailand is larger and definitely more exciting / unpredictable, so it really comes down to which kind of place you’d live in long term. Note that if you’re in Taiwan, outside of the cities it’s quite a bit harder to get around without knowing any variety of Chinese and transportation / access to amenities is more challenging.

No, not SE Asia, this region is for Austronesians and Asians only. The best for white people is to go back to the Caucasus while the Western black people should go back to Africa.

There it goes again, Croatia is being mentioned. You just can't go anywhere in Australia without Croatia popping up, can you now Paddy? But I hope we see each other soon in Thailand because the rainy season ceased and Thailand is reopening. Still the pandemic lingers. Mind-boggling milestone reached - 5 million people deceased (official numbers), probably a lot more. What to think of this folks? Safe to travel and socialize like everything is hunky-dory?

I will leave australia the first chance I get...I'm from NZ and I would never go back to NZ either. Both these places have become Nazi dictatorships with many restrictions on basic human rights and most of the public in each fully support it all or at least are happy to comply or are too lazy, weak and stupid to do anything about it. I've been going to protests for 2 years here and after 2 years it's not even 0.25% of the population that bother to go. Well that just says it all, democracy is dead here and I'm done with the place. I will never take australia or nz seriously ever again. For people's information you can apply for Political Asylum in the US for free through the Homeland Security website. You have to be in the US to apply and it doesn't matter how you got into the country, even illegally. I think australians have a good chance of getting it since australia IS a dictatorship now - by definition. It's not even debatable. That's where I'm going if I can find a way of getting there unvaxed. Good luck to anyone leaving and I hope you find a better place!..
