Dr. Lisle is the Yoda of the Plant Based World. He's so amazing and brilliant.

What AJ said is true, it's an issue. When our spouses don't take care of themselves, we love them enough to take care of them in their infirmities, but we shouldn't have to, just because they didn't listen to us. Perhaps that needs to be discussed with them..."OK, eat whatever you want, but buys tons of long term health care, and take out lots of life insurance, because I want to have a good life when I'm 80 and healthy."

When Dr Lisle spoke on spending our time wisely on people and activities we love I got very emotional. I am still (hopefully) in the first third of my life but I am painfully aware of how fast my life will go by. While our physical vitality and attractiveness goes downhill at a certain point I believe your kindness and wisdom continues to multiply. I am so grateful to have found you because your wisdom gives me a chance to live my most vital life as long as I can. I think the precious hour I spent listening was well spent. Peace to you and AJ.

Another great video with Chef AJ and Dr Lisle. My father just had a mild stroke a few weeks ago and hasn’t changed a thing since. I’ve been really worried about him since and trying to think of ways to convince him to adopt a plant based diet. of course all attempts have failed! The last five minutes of this video have made me feel a lot better about the situation though and I realise that I don’t have to change him. It’s his responsibility to take care of his health if he wants to. Or not take care of it if that is what he wants.

One of my friends has been acting weired since I lost all this weight. I assume she might be jealous as she tried to eat this way but barely lost anything. Her family insists on eating meat, dairy, etc. It's sad that a healthy weight is not considered normal anymore.

Having had Gastric Bypass I gradually moved to your way of eating AJ. After about 18 months you can eat a larger quantity & tolerate mostly the whole range of food. I am 3 years out now from the operation & eat like you. It is great 😀👍

Had the Gastric Bypass & these speakers give excellent advice. Drs Weiner & Davis advocate Plant Based diets for long term success. Watch their videos for specialist advice. I am now going vegan & so far, despite my smaller stomach, I am fine. Super calorie density advice. 👍

Learning SO MUCH from my man, Dr. Doug Lyle. Heard a video on this channel earlier - he was talking up Watermelon. I think he even SAID, “it’s ALL-THE-WAY WET!” Damn right. Watermelon is the King’s blend of volume, flavour, satiety and pleasure. Nature was TOO GOOD to us 🙇🏻♂️ You’re the man, Doug! 👊🏼

17:55 I'm also eating 801010 style low fat raw food diet, very few nuts, seeds or avocado, plenty of leafy greens and salad veg to keep calorie density low and I enjoy the large volumes of several pounds of food a day. Interestingly, could not lose sufficient weight via Starch Solution, even on an MWL regime, whereas the weight fell off on raw food and has stayed off for the last three years.

I love the Q&A advice from Dr. Lisle. If I could offer Dr. Lisle one suggestion, it would be to more succinctly communicate his analogies. For example, instead of simply saying "life is short and we should spend our time wisely" or "life is too short to spend our time with negative people", Doug uses unnecessarily long analogies like the multiple stacks of one dollar bills adding up to $100,000 and receiving a text message each hour to remind us we have one less dollar (hour) to live, etc. I noticed Dr. Lisle uses similarly long and verbose analogies when he does other presentations, sometimes with hand written illustrations, so, I appreciate that has been Doug's modus operandi. :-)

In your answer of how to handle people saying you look too thin, you assume the person critical of you is over weight. How do you handle when the person telling you that is too thin themselves? I mean unhealthy smoker, under weight 5 ft 7 in bigger boned broad shouldered woman, anyway how do handle that kind of person?
@CHEFAJ6 жыл бұрын
That's a great question but he doesn't read these comments so I suggest you call into huis weekly podcast and ask.
