I am a born again Christian. When i became born again, i stopped celebrating Christmas, but then i felt like my faith was lacking and i became a hypocrite. Then, i prayed about it, then i became convicted to celebrate it in the name of Jesus. I started celebrating it again then my faith in Christ became intense and fully worship Jesus in spirit and truth. Amen to this video.

Absolutely he was. Sheperds were in the field tending there flock. The Magi followed the star. And in winter EVERYTHING is dead. God is the author of life not death. He would have came around passover. More biblical evidence of this is that there was no room in the inns. Hence why Jesus was born in a manger. Jews came back to Israel for Passover. I used to celebrate Christmas and loved to put up a tree, however I've learned that it is in fact pagan and Christians aren't to have anything to do with it. It's worshipping him in vain by keeping man made traditions and ignoring his true biblical holy days that we're to remember and keep. Other than Jeremiah 10 which you are twisting there's Galatians 4:10, Amos 5:21,22 among others that tell us to stay away from man made traditions.

“Trees with trinkets hanging on them were part of the pagan festival for centuries.” (Church Christmas Tab) The Encyclopedia Britannica states: “Tree worship was common among the pagan Europeans and survived their Christian conversion.” The Christmas tree has its roots in paganism. Says “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” ‘The use of the fir seems to have originated at the winter solstice celebrations of the pagan German tribes in the Black Forest.’

Why do you quote a part of the Encyclopedic Britannica? Why don't you show the whole article? ''The use of evergreen trees, wreaths, and garlands to symbolize eternal life was a custom of the ancient Egyptians, Chinese, and Hebrews. Tree worship was common among the pagan Europeans and survived their conversion to Christianity in the Scandinavian customs of decorating the house and barn with evergreens at the New Year to scare away the Devil and of setting up a tree for the birds during Christmastime. It survived further in the custom, also observed in Germany, of placing a Yule tree at an entrance or inside the house during the midwinter holidays. (Notice that there is no source of reference given.) The next section: ''The modern Christmas tree, though, originated in western Germany. The main prop of a popular medieval play about Adam and Eve was a “paradise tree,” a fir tree hung with apples, that represented the Garden of Eden. The Germans set up a paradise tree in their homes on December 24, the religious feast day of Adam and Eve. They hung wafers on it (symbolizing the eucharistic host, the Christian sign of redemption); in a later tradition the wafers were replaced by cookies of various shapes. Candles, symbolic of Christ as the light of the world, were often added.''

Its sad to see more and more the excuses to celebrate these holidays and literally ASSOCIATE THEM with the Chosen King. If anyone was going to celebrate his birth why didnt HIS PARENTS? He was extremely specific in the ways we should honor him. There are only 2. preach the GOOD NEWS OF THE KINGDOM and commemorate his death. The Bible says your DEATH IS MORE IMPORTANT than your BIRTH. I dont see barely ANY so called christians preaching at all, many even feel its bad to bring up religion in public, yet they can celebrate a holiday that isnt even Christs true birth? This is why Jesus said many will come in his name and he will not know them. The MASSES celebrate Xmas...jesus said narrow is the road to life. In addition telling kids about Santa is a LIE. Yahweh and his SON make it plain that they hate lies. So even outside of the pagan theories of xmas...its extremely disrespectful at best...blasphemous at worse to associate anything worldly holiday to the birth of the King of Yahwehs Kingdom

Christmas i PAGAN!!!
@bibleman8010 Жыл бұрын
The most obvious reason...Pagans didn't celebrate the birth of Jesus of Nazareth! Christmas happens around the same time as the Jewish holiday of C'Hanukka, and this is no accident. The first Christians believed the first C'hanukka was on Dec. 25th. Since Christianity is rooted in Judaism, it would make more sense Christmas is the Christinization of C'hanukka. Christmas is not a pagan holiday The angels celebrated His birth, and we should, like them, celebrate the joyous occasions. Consider, the famous Hymn, “Hark! the herald angels sing” “Glory to the newborn King” Peace on earth, and mercy mild God and sinners reconciled! Joyful, all ye nations rise, Join the triumph of the skies With th’angelic hosts proclaim, “Christ is born in Bethlehem!” Hark! the herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King!” It comes from the Bible, yes the celebration in the Bible. See Luke 2:8-14. Christmas does not have pagan origins, although many of the rituals and symbols behind it, including the day it is celebrated may have. We celebrate the origin of it, the God-Man, behind it and the salvation is symbolizes, not the pagan celebrations it may have replaced. Gregory Koukl wrote a nice piece on this issue here. His point was that Christmas does not have pagan origins, but there are winter celebrations that are pagan. If we dismissed these customs because of their pagan origin then we should also dismiss wedding rings, weddings, chairs, Western calendars, funerals, days of the week-for many were created by pagans. Galatians 5:22: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." The Christmas Spirit is in total accord with and promotes love and joy. Savior from death itself. Winter, a time of year with often darkened skies and gloomy weather in many parts of the globe is then transformed into a wonderful time of joy, love and peace on earth for all of good will. O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, How steadfast are your branches! Your boughs are green in summer's clime And through the snows of wintertime. O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, How steadfast are your branches! O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, What happiness befalls me When oft at joyous Christmas-time Your form inspires my song and rhyme. O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, What happiness befalls me O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, Your boughs can teach a lesson That constant faith and hope sublime Lend strength and comfort through all time. O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, Your boughs can teach a lesson. LEV. 23: 40) And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days. (NEH. 8: 13-15) 13 Now on the second day the heads of the fathers’ houses of all the people, with the priests and Levites, were gathered to Ezra the scribe, in order to understand the words of the Law. 14 And they found written in the Law, which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths during the feast of the seventh month, 15 and that they should announce and proclaim in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the mountain, and bring olive branches, branches of oil trees, myrtle branches, palm branches, and branches of leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written.” God also lists the use of statues in His worship (EXO. 25: 17-19), garland, bells, and fruit (EXO. 28: 33; II COR. 3: 16), and other things I could list but won't. All of these things are used at Christmas, and condemned by people as pagan. Is this a double-standard? Once again we're right back to talking about having a standard and sticking to it. The first Xmass tree Boniface steadied the nerves of his friends and as they approached the pagan gathering he said, “Here is the Thunder Oak; and here the cross of Christ shall break the hammer of the false god Thor.”[4] Boniface and his friends arrived at the time of the sacrifice, which was interrupted by their presence. In a show of great trust in God and born from a desire to enkindle the fire of Christ in the German pagans, Boniface grabbed an axe and chopped down the Thunder Oak of mighty Thor. The Germans were astounded. The holy bishop preached the Gospel to the people and used a little fir tree that was behind the now felled oak tree as a tool of evangelization. Pointing to it he said, “This little tree, a young child of the forest, shall be your holy tree tonight. It is the wood of peace… It is the sign of an endless life, for its leaves are ever green. See how it points upward to heaven. Let this be called the tree of the Christ-child; gather about it, not in the wild wood, but in your own homes; there it will shelter no deeds of blood, but loving gifts and rites of kindness.”[ 5] Awed by the destruction of the oak tree and Boniface’s preaching, the Germans were baptized. Boniface continued his missionary efforts into old age when in 754, he left for a trip to Frisia with fifty monks. Their work was successful and many pagans agreed to receive baptism. When the appointed time came to celebrate the sacrament, a large armed crowd of pagans approached the missionaries. Knowing his time to die was at hand, Boniface discouraged his followers from fighting and said, “Cease my sons, from fighting, give up warfare for the witness of Scripture recommends that we do not give an eye for an eye but rather good for evil. Here is the long awaited day; the time of our end has now come; courage in the Lord!”[6] The ferocious pagan attack left Boniface and his fellow companions dead and celebrated as martyrs for the Faith. His later biographer, Othlo, recalled Boniface’s deep love for the people who he endeavored for so long to bring to Christ: The holy bishop Boniface can call himself father of all the inhabitants of Germany, for it was he who first brought them forth in Christ with the words of his holy preaching; he strengthened them with his example; and lastly, he gave his life for them; no greater love than this can be shown.”[7] In the centuries that followed, the Catholic tradition of using an evergreen tree to celebrate the birth of Jesus spread throughout Germany, and German immigrants in the eighteenth century brought the custom to the New World. Although there are many stories, legends, and myths surrounding the founding of the Christmas tree, including the claim that the custom originated with Martin Luther, there is only one story rooted in a real person and a real event: Boniface, converter of the Germans, who destroyed Thor’s mighty oak.

Do you think this is true?. This channel said, "Just because people put silver and gold colors on their Christmas trees doesn't mean that this is what Jeremiah is referring to." However, consider this: the enemy is highly intelligent and cunning. There are even churches pretending to worship God; they will do anything to mislead people. Do you think that putting silver and gold colors on a ‘tree,’ as mentioned in Jeremiah 10, is merely a coincidence with the Christmas tree or is it made to go against God's words? I don’t think it’s a coincidence. There are many colors one could use on a tree, so why do silver and gold specifically match what God mentioned? Let’s consider it from another angle: instead of using a tree, we could use silver and gold designs to decorate our homes as symbols of Christmas to avoid going against God's words. So why does the 'Christmas tree,' a symbol of Christmas, share characteristics with what is described in Jeremiah 10? Jeremiah 10: For the practices of the peoples are worthless; *Cut a tree out of the forest. *Adorn it with silver and gold. *They fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter. (Old Christmas trees were often nailed to keep them stable.) *Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak. *They must be carried because they cannot walk. With deception at play, distractions like gifts or other colors and decorations can be added to make it seem like it's not what the Bible was referring to. However, if you pay attention, the main details are significant. Also, at the start of Jeremiah 10, why did God say, 'Do not learn the ways of the nations,' and then talks about the tree? Isn’t there significance in this connection? If you read the whole chapter, it discusses "idolatry" and includes the tree adorned with silver and gold. Just because a church allows what might be considered idolatry (and many people may not realize it is idolatry) doesn’t mean God has permitted it. No one is exempt from the laws that God has established. This is what God said in Exodus 20:4-5 "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me". I'm just sharing my thoughts and understanding of God's words. Please correct me if I'm wrong and let me know verses that might change my mind on this topic. Thank You and God Bless!

There are many modern day idols ;Please an idol does not have to be carved out like a man .God did made the pine tree not for us to worship it decorated or undecorated . In what way does decorating a Christmas tree and putting toys ,video games under it honour God .People who do this thing are in the great error of idol worship . Repent of this act.your perhaps afraid of disappointing your children by tell ing them the truth so, you try to justify yourself in doing But which more important; Is it to please God and disappoint your children(which would be better for them in the long run). Or is it to follow old tradition ,please you children and the general society and go to hell.? The trees were made by God , however it is wrong to let it take the place of worshipping Almighty God(remember He said that I am a jealous GodRead Exodus Chap 20 verses 4&5.God made all the host of creation ,the sun moon stars etc. And in the ancient days the re were people who want to worship the starsmoon etc in place, but God forbids this Not even the angels who are much more powerful than us and may be fascinating in their powers Bec they are indeed more powerful than us (Revelation 10 vs 1- 6.) Worship God. Not everything has to be spelled out word ford for what God likes and doesn't like, but read into the ten commandments / shun the very appearance of evil; please let us not be worldly , and let us not love not the world.neither the things that are in the world.Read 1John chapter 2 verses 15 - 17. We don't have to do that the general public does if we're not prepared to deny ourselves then Jesus says that we cannot be called the disciples of Christ; Supposedly , I think the person who posted the video meant well but he is either mislead or just looking for an excuse for which he can gratify his fleshly desires and follow the ungodly crowd of ungodly people who don't even know that they are on the road to hell!.Find out for yourself the truth; remember that Jesus's famous but true saying that reads this: " many are called , but few will be chosen"; so watch out people and beware; work out your own salvation with fear and trembling!. I hope that this passage will indeed help someone .to discern for themselves ,pray every single day and search the word of God daily, and God will reveal himself to to you thru His Holy Spirit which is the spirit of truth! The traditions added came from the principles of Yule. Neither has anything to do with Christ’s birth. He was born in the fall. Do more research in the scriptures. Was a title used in scripture to celebrate the birth of Christ? Are trees today an idol to some? Is there a song written in worship of a Christmas trees? Can ppl celebrate the birth of Christ any other day than 12/25? Is it commanded in the scriptures to celebrate Christ’s birth? The spirit of Christmas as the national federal Holiday means to turn to God and pray and fast to unite according to its intent. Can we do that …UNITE and say Happy National Holiday to those that fast and pray as ordered to by President Ulysses Grant? OR SAYING HAPPY HOLIDAY A SIN IN SCRIPTURE? By the way, Yahweh’s Son’s -Hebrew Name is Yeshua. The letter J is only a few hundred years old. Look that up too, good stuff.

Finally the right research in regards of the pagan celebration ( & on December 25 the god sun the others worshipped) yet other finding as this one about the practices of other nations than the Israelite. Yes God created all trees: different shapes and all. Yet, like a story passed down through generations can change if miscommunicated, or modernized a bit: we can see today the new version of the tree being worshipped w/o even knowing it: the danger of « always looking for a 🌲 tree to chop and bring in the house/town/ malls/ etc… and it is practically the same shape/ type of tree… sold … or entertained correct!? Does it have to be worked, carved if everyone agrees on the symbolic tree 🌲 ? So this doesn’t differ to an idol; because an idol is replicated and sold and this is basically the modern idol people embrace each Christmas celebration. The tree didnt look for that! but people made it " the tradition " to follow. Yet, the tree decorated has nothing to do with Jesusˋ s coming on earth to save humanity. What ppl make as to become a tradition doesnt mean it is biblically or Godˋ s way. As it is explained, that practice did not start with Jesus the Christ, the First Church/ His first followers did not practiced such things. Because the importance wasn' t in that: the focus of the Gospel is to let PPL know that finally Jesus came to save humanity from sins and that there is life after earth, in the new earth Eden, but no sins will be part of it, so for PPL to make it to the new Eden, we gotta be cleansed from our sins: through Jesus Christ and to keep clean, following His words for us to keep doing our best to keep pure till He comes back. (its a process) so, the celebration of His coming is ok but the mistake is telling ppl He was born on December 25th (its a lie) and the mistake is agreeing with the tradition of a new look of idol to celebrate that day (the tree), … you can choose another tree to decorate and ppl will tell you " its the wrong tree/god." and the decoration doesnt have to be actual gold and silver today… not everybody have that and can afford it: so plastic shape round like the sun, stars, (astrology) painted on gold/silver and other colors is fabricated and available in stores for all, yeah… see how easy it is to follow… any how, the action of decorating the tree is what is praised by " the tradition". So, yes it is modernized we already see the newer look, fake tree to fold and pack, there is also discs of many triangle shape to superpose and make a tree like decorated with trains, little people, fairs etc… snow! snow bulb… I mean! its a show case… the best, is to focus in the event of Christ coming and rejoicing with others… only some ppl understand that no trees are needed to have a good celebration time with others for Jesus coming. And I like that it is even explained who revived that idea. The guy liked the idea, but did not know the trap behind it. Again, you can decorate with lights your house, I know it was hard when I was cutting away from that tradition but now I am done with that. Hm… think abt it: if the tradition of washing sins by sacrificing animals was satisfying to God: what about today … do we think we would have each one the animals to sacrifice and stuff… for the number of sins today??, 🧐not even if we were all Vegetarian…because today there are labs making fake meat! So yes, Jesus came at the right time to suffer in sacrifice for us all. Now, He also created animals .. I am sure He was waiting for the right time as well, so those animals would live and not be killed because of our sins. Look at the Christmas tree🌲today… they are suffering the cuts each year in big numbers to satisfy the tradition and we thought its for our O2, oxigen…! They don't know why they are reduced… so hopefully this helps us all to look more deeper in our hearts that joy and love for our Savior and rejoice with others w/o a tree, maybe just lights in the house, because at least that can reflect our hearts/house in His light. 🙏🏽Happy celebration however you choose to decorate your home, rejoice in Jesus Christ and give Him the focus, the importance, your space/home Jeremiah 10: v6, may you have blessed celebration! ❤🙏🏽

Ummm, the story of Hanukkah actually proves Christmas is pagan...... A couple hundred years before Christ, and after Alexander the Great died the story of the Maccabees takes place. It is when the Jews were in Jerusalem surrounded by Greek influence. Many became highly influenced by the pagan Greek way of life and became known as Hellenistic Jews. Laws were made to force Jews to slaughter and eat PIG, even force feeding them. If they chose not to obey they DIED! The Greeks made circumcision and SABBATH keeping crimes punishable by death. They were as vicious as the recent attacks on Jews in Israel. The Maccabees fought back and won. Jesus arrived a couple hundred years later, in the middle of a foe that was more powerful than the Greeks. Jesus celebrated Hanukkah and even quoted the book of Maccabees when he was talking about fleeing to the mountains and not going back for your coat, and pray it's not on Sabbath. The Romans CHANGED Laws, TIMES (Feasts are God's appointed TIMES), and calendars. The disciples and Jesus kept God's Feasts.

ASHRH is not pagan. She's a Mideast Faither Goddess appears or cameos in your Bible loads of times because your fiction fantasy world bible with its lone Yahwist agenda didn't like competition in its own mythos fiction. The tree reference you get in Jeremiah chapter 10 is not about Christmas trees but it is about Asherah but again NOT pagan at all but other alienate beleifs.

When scripture clearly says to stay away from man made traditions which Christmas is how is that celebrating him? It's worshipping him in vain when we keep these days and ignore his true biblical holy days that we're to remember and keep. Other than Jeremiah 10, there's Galatians 4:10, Amos 5:21,22. Among others that tells us to have nothing to do with man made traditions.

Out of my unwillingness to "interpret" Scripture, because Jesus said we must listen from the Moses seat, meaning "listen to the complete story" and become changed and renewed through the written Scripture, I choose to read, and do my best to Obey God in what is Written, as it is Written, as this is the Word of God. Not interpret.... or look for hidden stories. Jesus said we should become like children, hear and obey. Not change anything. Take it as it is written. Too many people are transfixed by the trees. The decorations. Jesus is our Savior. I'd rather do the Feasts instructions in the Torah, Jesus did!! We want to be closer to Jesus, follow in His footsteps, Jesus celebrated Chanukka John 10v25-39. Jesus was a practicing Jew. And Observant. And called Rabbi. My belief is that the road is narrow..... not including lots of new practices. Lets walk in Faith, according to Scripture. Christmas is not found anywhere in Scriptures!! Follow Jesus. Not tradition.

Christmas is not in the Bible!! Easter is not in the Bible!! But God Did instruct His people to observe Feasts set apart by God. To be observed in perpetuity!! Forever. Jesus was Crucified just before Passover!! Nothing to do with Easter. Do not "interpret" scripture Read it and implement it as you learn. This is the instructions God gave to all people!!

Oh so as long as we say it's in the name of Jesus were good! cause I couldn't find this in the Bible, weird as I found versions of this tradition, in Pagan mythology to celebrate their Gods! and the Sun God Sol Invictus actual Birthday was on Dec 25th not Jesus birthday, and God is a jealous God, so celebrating him on the another Gods actual day sounds a bit counter intuitive, and Jesus was not about this world, yet we shop and buy the things of this world to celebrate him on a pagan day, in a pagan way! Who's heart are we suppose to be chasing, ours or Gods?

Jeremiah 10:2-4 is goy/heathen. Is being pagan the same as being a heathen? Goy translated to Latin as ethnicus, meaning heathen or pagan. 😂 You debunked yourself within 30 seconds of your video unless you are going to say that the Tanakh isn't a reliable source. 🤣
