I think it would've been cool if they told them who got their start/starred on these shows that they'd probably recognize now. It might've made them realize that these shows didn't just exist in a vacuum before they were born. For instance: Golden Girls: Betty White Facts of Life: George Clooney Married with Children: Ed O'Neill (Modern Family), Katey Sagal (Futurama, Sons of Anarchy) Diff'rent Strokes: Janet Jackson Growing Pains: Alan Thicke, Leonardo DiCaprio Family Ties: Michael J. Betty White had been around for like 40 years before Golden Girls... Estelle Getty was the only one to really get her start there. Facts of Life also saw the starts of others like Molly Ringwald etc. Janet Jackson actually got her start on Good Times, Alan Thicke was also around a long time before Growing Pains. Growing Pains, Cheers, and Golden Girls were the only 3 song openings I remembered on the list that I actually watched. Golden Girls will always be my favorite sitcom show. I watched like every episode with my mom! Estelle Getty just gets me laughing every time she opens her mouth. She makes the perfect Sophia and fits well in the group of girls, especially her crazy stories. God, I love that woman! I love, (blanche) Rue, (Rose) Betty, and (Dorthy)Bea but I adore Estelle! I rewatched Golden Girls recently and honestly it still holds up as a relevant show for today's youth with issues unfortunately are still prevalent today that they can relate to. As well as great comedy writing and arguably the greatest female comedy cast for a sitcom ever. RIP my 80's comedy grandmothers who taught us all how to be sassy in our later years

I knew the Golden Girls one from Mac and Charlie in Always Sunny singing it to their mothers when they moved in together. I knew the Facts of Life from Ted and his band singing it in Scrubs and I knew the Cheers one from Joey watching it in London in Friends despite never having watched any of those 3 shows.
