I lived on a dairy farm in Florida years ago I think it's absolutely amazing the process and the cows go right along with it just like clockwork

I helped a neighbor when I was really young that had a free stall milking barn. You moved the Milker,milked the left cow then the right cow then moved the milker to the next set. Cows stayed in the same place. Also fed part of the ration before/ during milking. Milked in a 12x12 almost identical to the one in the video for a family later when the needed a fill in person. When I was very young my grandpa milked in a 6x6 stantion but I think I was 7 or 8 when he retired and dad didn't want to take over so he didnt update,just sold the herd. Use the barn for calving stock cows some times. I'm glad we dont milk but glad I had the experience!
@hammerslammer30064 жыл бұрын
Also have a friend with a revolving parlor. kinda neat. I've only helped a dozen times and throw a milker or two on when I stop to say hi, I haven't been in the barn but down the road they have a robotic parlor. Also neat.

Cows do want to be milked, I remember as a kid on my grandparents dairy, the cows were out on the pasture when not being milked and at the same times each day they'd come in from the pasture in a string to the barn to be milked on their own. aww the good ol days. Keep up what you all are doing, your making a difference!

Down in the south I worked for a dairy . We never had to call them they just showed up to be milked twice a day . I think we had 8 and 8 . 16 stations. We had a cleaning solution in a sprayer . Then hose . Then milk . And then bag balm with iodine to send them back out to graze. Thanks for the tour.

Great video girls! Glad you are back together for awhile. For a Southerner from Georgia who knows nothing about dairy farming you continue to teach me a lot. We do have dairy farms here but not many family farms. There's a cooperate diary near my property in the country called Coble Dairies and I don't know anything except when the wind is blowing in the 'wrong' direction, I can smell it! :)

3 in 10,000 Worst case scenario for wuhan wheezer. Makes you wonder whats REALLY going on Houston has the biggest medical center in the country, top of the list in oil and refining, among other important manufacturing and machining businesses. But hey, our dumb af "leadership" shuts the city down for 45 days. Then mandates facial coverings, after 45 days, with a $1000 fine for non compliance. Attempted to release criminals from our county jail, and fill those seats with mask violators. Something doesnt add up. Testing is slowing in liberal areas because its giving proof to the ridiculousness of this entire pandemic. Dont call me calous or uninformed. My wife works for a dementia/alzheimers facility and we have all taken continued measures to keep us safe, not for our sake, but the sake of the residents at her facility. We have quarantined for over 68 days now. With the sole exclusion being grandmas house last weeked for my boys, for the first time in almost 70 days. That includes public masks, and complete segregation from anything nomal. I want to write more but will just stop here.

Fuck the way their content is used. Activists are just bums who would rather stop truckers and farmers supplying 90+% of americans. Just to push some bullshit agenda. Nobody takes those clowns seriously. Look at peta, still a laughing stock for most of us. Im sure there are farms out there that have bad practices in their business. But so far, these beautiful farming women have shown nothing but love for their farm, and the animals that reside there. Social media is destroying the world as we know it

When I was young, about 56 years ago, we just had a stanchion barn, us kids would clean the udders, carry the nilk out to the bulk tank, shovel silage down from the silo, threw hay down from the mow, later on in life, I helped milk in a double 12 parlor, not real often, because I had to feed

Just a question about the crowd gate does your guys crowd gate shock the cows a little bit if they don’t move when it moves forward or is there a bell that rings so the cows know it is moving. I have heard of both ways. And by shock I just mean shock them a little bit like the ones that don’t like to move.

Many years ago I would help my Grandparents on their farm. Mostly to help bale hay but it was a small dairy and beef farm. GPA had a vacuum system BUT it would empty into a flat type of can that were held up to the cow by belts around it and then we would have to carry it up some stairs to the milk room to empty them. LOTS and LOTS of hard work that I miss today. They are gone as well as the farm😇 Good job girls always enjoy the videos 😎👍 〽️

Hello, you only feed green feed? or else? here with us, you don't do the same anymore - you feed silage or just bought pellet feed. this is at the expense of the milk ingredients - generally at the expense of everything that is made from milk - whether yogurt, curd cheese, cream, cheese. i am still familiar with the fact that the farmer - turnips were grown on a strip. Turnips are storable for a long time and can also be harvested long into the cold season. In the effort to make green fodder - you also produce silage - the use of turnips is associated with little effort - but great yield. So you get high-quality feed that you can also feed on goats, pigs, chickens - all poultry. you have all these animals! In addition, you can feed bread - not one-sided, like just green fodder, which can not be increased in the area yield - but crocheted turnips, crocheted freshly baked bread - as a mixture, because especially in cattle the digestion goes through the rumen - so must be prevented - too moist to feed. you don't do something like that? you only buy? and only makes green fodder, hay, straw even for the cows - also wheat to feed? you have so many areas: wonderful - for example the asparagus, which spreads itself without any effort, so to speak. but your fields look like water shortage fields: you should plant every spot - because it prevents the soil from losing water - too much water evaporates - and thus can also keep water better in the long term ..... I am currently planning my own farm .... take a look around - and unfortunately almost always find: I don't want to do that - justified don't do it! so far you are exceptionally interesting to watch - and to recognize: actually it is almost perfect - it seems to be running. other much less. I would like to continue to watch you! can you buy your clothes from the shop? do you deliver to germany? greetings from berlin, germany
