I teach singing in a conservatory on a ten year old Kawaii. It is out of tune. I used two tuning apps today to test it. The variance runs from semi tones to intervals up to a whole step. I don't have perfect pitch, rather excellent relative pitch. Electronics do wear out over time.

I have the CDP-S100 piano, and it's out of tune!! And no this isn't the transpose, this is actual mis-tunning.... If anybody knows how to fix that plz tell me.

Dude, I have a 2021 Decibel. That sucker is NOT IN TUNE. This is freaking me out. Happily, my piano tuner is coming in in 2 weeks to tune my old Hamilton Baldwin. I am at a loss as to what to do about my major investment (for me).

You know the Yamaha CP80, it's an Electrified Baby Grand Piano. It has Standard Piano Strings struck by Hammers that are then amplified by Pickups like an Electric Guitar.

Acoustic to digital people may want to simulate a particular brand-model key response... They may call it - maintenance cleaning tuning.

Who understands digital pianos? We bought Kawai e Piano. Everything is fine with the sound, only the keys are too weak and after taking the keys they continue to tremble up and down. It can be fixed?

It's obvious that they don't need tuning, but is it POSSIBLE to change electric piano's tuning by myself? if so, does it have to be connected to computer, or can i do it manually with some kind of button on a piano? More specifically, i'm talking about Casio Privia piano. Would aprecciate your answer a lot!:)

This is more my experience with old keyboards, I've noticed that old keyboard (20+ year old) tend to lose tune as capacitors on the board start leaking and the board doesn't function correctly anymore. One I have lying around does have a tune knob to tune it, but it's impossible to get it in tune correctly. Your music always sounds a bit off when playing on this one. The circuit board would have to be rebuilt in order for the keyboard to work correctly again.

I have this same question. What are some specific pieces of software that have granular settings for microtuning. Id like to change every key on the damn thing, and I don't mind if it's going to be a pain. I've been spinning my wheels on this for some time.

Digital pianos do still incorporate more and more wearable parts. Not only the contacts below the keys, but the overall mechanics behind the touch system (e.g. Kawai Grand Feel action). Based on your experience, is it easy to find technicians able to service those instruments when wearable parts need to be replaced?

You're quite right, but Yamaha in particular have heeded the lessons of this since they began making their Clavinova digital pianos back in the 80s, and their latest models are really robust and built to last. I'm serious about that too, I've owned a Clavinova personally and travelled with it a lot (without being that careful!) and the thing just keeps going and going. Yamaha have trained engineers all around the UK who have always been professional and swift by many accounts. Here at ePianos we have our own trained engineers servicing the whole UK on not just Yamaha but other makes too.

my old keyboard was a psr 9000 I used it for making backing tracks I could tuned keys down so I could play any song as if every song I was playing was in the key c major being a guitar player I found it very useful will it have that facility on the sx 900, ........many thanks...Charles..

Question: I bought a Yamaha DGX670 and when I press a key the sound seems off a bit. I’ll press the key and the sound as it carries doesn’t stay exactly the same. Sounds a bit warped. Also, when I play along to a piano to someone playing on KZbin, the tone of my key doesn’t sound the exact same as the person playing the same key. Any idea why? Do I have a defective keyboard you think?

Hi I’m having the same problem, have you figured out what to do? I have a Lagrima digital piano and one key is out of tune the rest are fine. Unfortunately, it’s a key in the middle and it’s used a lot so I’m trying to figure out ways to tune it. Haven’t found anything yet. :(

I figured it out! Mine was doing the same thing. Power off, then push and hold the last key (the high C) and power on while still holding. Keep holding and you'll see some lights flashing for a bit. I think it does a factory reset or something but it fixed my "tune!" C sounds correct once again. Huzzah!

I want my keyboard to be tuned to 432hz rather that 440 hz. Does the p515 have a tuning function? I am thanking of buying this keynord.

Yes. The default setting is A3=440.0Hz. The setting range: A3=414.8Hz - 440.0Hz - 466.8Hz (in approximately 0.2 Hz increments)
