Why would flame actually use led metal even though they know that there are bad type of metal?or because its not actually led metal, so led metal is soft, low melting point, and its expensive. The reason why the lead test is showing that it has led is because the coat that makes it shinny is used for flames metal is chromite, and this led tests are used for paint, not metal usually chromite are used for led paint test. So kids flame brand is the only one that's a safe and cheap type of knock-off beyblade. Also, real led oxidise.

Be careful which paint you use, and how many layers so it doesn't get suck. Some of the paint may rub off on your beys too over time..

That's a really good question. In order to know for sure if they're safe is to conduct a lead test on each one, as I'm not sure of any other methods. In the description there are paid links to Amazon for test kits like i use here

Does using 100% secured masking tape to the metal make the flame Beyblade safe?

I guess it could, but at that point it may interfere with the locking mechanism or get shredded off with battles. You also can't bring a Beyblade like that to a tournament.
