As one who came of age in the 70s and 80s, I had never heard of guys shaving their pubes. The few examples of naked males I saw all had a full bush. I didn’t even hear of men shaving there until my early 30s. Then again, even amongst one’s closest friends, it also wasn’t something we ever talked about. In fact, it wasn’t until my best friend since childhood and I went to see ‘American Wedding’ that I even learned he shaved and had been for a few years by that point. I did myself for a short period, using a small electric razor, but I kept getting abscesses and having to get them drained (which I found humiliating). Finally got sent to a urologist who made it clear that my heavy sweating combined with no hair was creating a perfect breeding ground for them. Have been au naturel since. As for Joe’s hypothetical question about shaving your hole before bottoming, that would be a hard no for me. The last thing anyone should do is shave their hole right before sex. The anus needs time to recover from the shaving before any further friction. That area, after all, is the most sensitive part of the body. Great topic, guys. It’ll be interesting to follow the feedback.
