Love will come. When I was in my 30’s, I had a friend who found the love of her life after retirement. She never lowered her expectations or crossed her own boundaries and after decades of being single, she met the love of her life. And as for myself, she is an huge inspiration in my life that one day I will find the love of my life. Everyone deserves a good life and the best that love has to offer. 🏜🕺🏻🐕🏖

Valentines LARP: at the grocery and wine request, an inclusive statement: “ how about we shop together and come up with something fabulous to make, and of course booze it up too babe.” at that point if he says yes, go for it, if he says “nah” go for the wine, head home and enjoy it with a box of chocolates! Trust me me, it’ll be satisfying to walk away and feel the power of that choice. 😁👍🏻❤️🇨🇦

You guys I do my homework and I've shared this with a gay. And I just wanna say every time I get to the STUNNING harmony at the end of every episode you know I'm just moving that little red dot right back to the beginning to listen all over again. I'd say only on the fourth or fifth listen of an episode can I say I've really processed everything that demanded to be processed.

Validated by how I feel like I’ve been seeing more dog poop on the streets in NY. I’m a dog owner and I hate it so much. Dogs poop several times a day, so one bad owner can really do some damage on their block.

I feel Andrew’s pain. I had to get off the apps and just start meeting people irl. I feel like it’s easier to connect and feel out the vibe without wasting too much time on small talk that doesn’t lead anywhere. But the mock date definitely gave me flashbacks to the date I had with my ex last valentines day. I’ll set the scene. After hours of going back and forth about whether or not we were going to have a date night, he decided we could. So I come across town - 45 min drive after work, picked up dinner, grabbed him some crumbl cookies because they were his fave. I get there and he says, “can you wait in the lobby. I am gonna shower and I will be down in 10” 30 mins later he comes down, let’s me up stairs in a pug shirt and basket ball shorts. We start to eat and he just throws on a drag race rerun because he didn’t want to rent a movie. Then we got into a fight about something dumb and went to bed. It was lovely. This was most nights we hungout. Went on for 6-7 months. Then he ghosted me the day before my bday and text me 4 weeks later saying, “sorry I haven’t gotten back to you. Been busy. I think we would be better as friends”😂 Idk why I went on with it for that long. Maybe I just wanted it to work. RIP

Andrew totally does need to stand up for himself more. Genuinely, that date exercise was really interesting and such a good lesson in the psychology behind those types of relationships. Unfortunately, when you let people do things you don't want them to, they'll only continue to push the limits. Andrew attracts these types with this behavior AND even the ones that may not have been like that in the first place will probably turn out to be like that because they are given such freedom. It's a very common trope and interestingly I've noticed it in many of my gay twink-y friends. Kind of comes down to low self worth/high anxiety IMO. Something I've definitely dealt with as well, but gets better as I get older/recognize the patterns. Think about it -- if you were in a relationship with someone who let you do whatever you wanted and didn't value their own desires enough to speak up about them, why wouldn't you continue to do what you wanted? You'd probably do what you wanted and then lose interest in them because simply put, people without opinions are boring. Remember, people like being pushed. They respect when others stand up for what they're passionate about. Ideally you'd meet someone who'd be kind enough to see through these things and be a kind and considerate person from the start -- but you have to realize that not everyone can understand what goes on in your head... how you operate, the life you've lived, the personality you have. People comment that they love Andrew because they KNOW Andrew, these people going on dates with him don't get a chance to know him. We do because he doesn't hold back because there isn't room for contemplation and censorship, he knows the audience appreciates him because they wouldn't watch if they didn't (and of course because he's comfortable with Joe as well).
