I have the G372XP that I bought for storm cleanup post hurrican Hellene. It's been wearing a 28inch bar and hasn't skipped a beat just a simple muffler mod and been sending it. So far I haven't touched it out of the box other than adjusting the carb for the muffler mod and turning the oiler all the way up for the 28 inch bar.

@BrandonBigB956 that is great to hear. How does it pull that 28" buried? Are you running skip chain? It's good to hear they are still producing good ones. Did you put a larger pipe in the muffler for the mod or fish gills? Thanks for watching and sharing! ~Dr. C.

I have a 660 holzformma and it’s a great saw. Use it everyday and it’s a beast. They have simple problems like things coming loose but that’s about it. If you need parts just replace with genuine husky or stihl parts whichever saw you have

For the price I paid for it. I could buy 3 more for the price of one 660 stihl

@TheWildWestMill I have been interested in a 660. Hear a lot of good things about them. Thankfully I have not had the loose fastener issue with the G372XP. I think that is the coolest part of a clone. If you have a problem part, just go OEM. ~Dr. C.

@TheWildWestMill I know, it's crazy to think that way about the cost. I say the same thing when people ask. Thanks for watching and sharing. ~Dr. C.

I have a lot of OEM saws and even more clone saws. My clones are all ported except one and they all do really great

That saw sound sick. Send it back to the ICU!

Just needs a mod muffler
@ChainsawHospitalАй бұрын
@BrianDoherty-e8s I noticed that when editing. I think the microphone was struggling with the dual pipe. I have a different mic I might try and make another video with. Thanks for watching and commenting! ~Dr. C.

@Memry-Man agree. The original muffler worked. A larger output tube would breath better. I just love the way a pipe sounds. I didn't even try a muffler mod on this saw. Went straight to the pipe. Thanks for watching and sharing! ~Dr. C.

Yeah, I love my hotlzfformas! 372 has a modded muffler I got on ebay,,, to help it breathe... has over a yr under its belt now, and it has never disappointed yet, a damn good saw!

@Merry-Man excellent! Is that a old school XP version? I don't have long term experience with the XT version. I have heard Husqvarna had trouble with their OEM X-Torq models. ~Dr. C.

@AgitateTheBear you are very welcome. Holzfforma usually runs a sale around this time of year. I would love to hear how it goes for you. ~Dr. C.

Clone saws are great in the right hands and built by the right guys.

@Jasha333 interesting. Was it still under warranty? If so, did Holzfforma take care of it? Was it a different model than what is in the video? I know I asked a lot of questions but I love collecting information. Thanks for watching and sharing. ~Dr. C.

@matthewknight5641 have you had to swap out many parts to OEM? Any particular model need more TLC than others? ~Dr. C.

@@ChainsawHospitalthere are different kinds of clones and farmer tech and neo tech are the better ones in my opinion. Now that being said there are certain size saws that's seem better also. The best out of the box that I know of is the 660, g444, ms381i, g111. I have rebuilt a few of mine with better parts and most are ported but not because they needed it and only because I wanted more power. Actually the only problem I've had is I broke a pull cord and the oiler on my 660 was not pumping enough oil but that's an easy couple things to fix. I do run 32.1 fuel and I use amsoil saber oil. I also use foam air filters and muffler mod all my saws.

@ChainsawHospital I think I have 12 clone saws now. It's just a hobby ya know. I think the clones have constantly gotten better over the years. And some manufacturers are great in my opinion.

@tedbell4416 thanks for watching! Do you have a clone saw? If so, how do you like it and has it held up well? ~Dr. C.
