Do I always make an immediate denture ?

I had extractions and bone smoothing on lower teeth. Got immediate, top fits good. Lower I have a lot of pain and inflammation in lower gum on right side. The trough is narrower on that side. Extraction day was July 16 th 2024

Hi, see your dentist as soon as you can to have the area on the lower checked out. Hopefully you just need an adjustment. Is the gum completely healed?

Full removable dentures are good for health. With denture adhesive you eat normal again.

One office I went to told me to find another dentist after I asked nicely what qualifications the assistant had. That was after 3 appointments over a months time.

Hi, what state do you live in? Some states allow expanded function dental assistants to perform a lot of procedures.

Weird I'm scheduled for aveoplasty and extractions at a oral surgeon office.,but this new dentist I went to today said my bite was to tight to make immediate dentures . How would my bite be too tight for immediate dentures if my teeth will be extracted with Aveo plasty

Hi, the extractions and alveoloplasty would make room for the immediate dentures. You would have to ask the dentist for more clarification.

Maybe you can help me understand something. I've been to 3 dentist to try to get immediate dentures with my state insurance. All three told me they don't do wax try ins for immediate dentures. I have no back teeth and don't understand why they cant do it. To me it seems that if they don't the fit will just be that much worse

Hi, I'm going to guess it's because of your state insurance. The state insurance may not pay enough to allow for a wax try in. Some insurances don't pay enough to cover the lab fee for the denture.
