I have spent tge majority of my life studying spiritually/ law of attraction/ universal energy and have recently reverted to Islam (almost a year now) Alhamdulillah and i’m really trying to find my balance. I truly believe that universal law only takes you so far and that Allah takes you to the next level. Like I hit a glass ceiling with meditation practices then Allah stepped in and showed me prayer and my whole life changed. Anyways i’d value your thoughts on this subject. Hey Bahja, Salaam Walakum. I’m 25 I had my first daughter when I was 19. I reverted to Islam about 3 years ago. I soooo wish I would have thought the way you thought when I was younger. ESPECIALLY about boys. But even about wanting to please God الله and just be focused on bettering myself. I was so worried about how others thought of me and the whole time I was literally the shit and shouldn’t have been worried about ANYTHING anyone was thinking about me. Lmao. Anyways. A lot of the way I thought had to do with the lack of guidance growing up. My family was Christian and honestly I was told all the things I should and shouldn’t do as a Christian. Which essentially are the same values and principles that Islam offers. BUT they were never conveyed to me in a way that actually made them MY values. You know it just sounded like “we are Christian, you are Christian, this is Christian like this isn’t” . As a mother myself, when I look at you I KNOW your parents/ family put in some serious work to make sure you had some sort of comprehensive understanding that these values are to your benefit. I really want my kids to understand how our religion and the guide lines layed out is to OUR BENEFIT. I am just so worried about my kids being so focused on what others think and following their desires the way I was when I was younger. That was a whole lot to ask if you could think about making a video on what things your parents did growing up that really helped you have the mindset you have today. This is something I’m curious about as a revert mom. Or girl even if you have your mom come on here and talk about parenting. Or both of yal. I really see it as a benefit for me and other mothers who didn’t have the right guidance and example growing up. In my eyes you are an example of good parenting. Maybe I’m wrong.
