The mindfulness workbook "30 Days to Reduce Depression" by Harper Daniels was helpful along with CBT exercises.

1:58 When you have figured out whats bugging you and find solution (which usuaally takes 5-15 minutes) then you have better stop thinking about it or otherwise it becomes and addiction itself and causess depression. Itss called rumination and for so many rumination itself is the reason for depression (you can call it a cycle of negative thinking if it is easier to understand). For many when they unnderstand this and start to work on it their world changes positively for good.

I think all of our minds work so differently and each of us would benefit from figuring out how our respective minds work! :)
