Im waiting TMS so much since I have depression, pain, tinnitus and insomnia. It would be a miracle to get tinnitus away and sleep normally, that would probably also remove depression, or removing depression would improve other things. Maybe this autumn or in few months. I normally sleep 1-4 hour a day.. in my worst I stayed up 5 days in a row.

I have horrible insomnia too, it is so so difficult. Praying for you and praying you sleep. Did you try TMS?
@bogse4 ай бұрын
@@michellekwik2907 Yeah I got TMS. First two weeks I just had so rough time I bet TMS was just a waste of time and money. Then things settled down but iits had to say effects of TMS.. In my opinion it was done completely wrong. I asked TMS for pain and tinnitus but I got treated only for depression. My own opinion is cause of depression is tinnitus, insomnia and pain. Any sensible doctor would try to hit the reasons and not the symptom but I cant tell them what to do. I try to get to TMS for tinnitus later. Anyway at the end of it I think I felt somwehat better. I dont even know what depression is, and I think Im not depressed at all, its just insomnia, pain and tinnitus that suck all life of you. If they were removed Id probably be happy guy, or at least some of those or get milder.

I'm waiting for insurance to decide to help pay for tms. I'm high-functioning autistic, so it might be different for me. I ache for a kinder world, where it's not so dog eat dog. I ache for a world without homeless people. But I wouldn't be so financially wealthy if I didn't understand how evil the world is. How anyone can not be depressed is what bewilders me.

I hear you! Keep on your insurance. They often deny at first just as a matter of fact, but then you can appeal and they then usually cover. The world can be a rough place. I am sending you positive vibes and hoping you find relief! Hang in there and keep me posted!

Hi Destiny! Thanks so much for sharing this, I'd never heard about TMS so it's really interesting to hear about. It's awesome you're being so open about your journey, looking forward to following along 🥰

@@DestinysMusings Thanks so much for checking out my videos! My appendix burst in Jan causing all kinds of chaos and claiming 15cm of my large intestine - not very fun! It's been a long recovery process and physically I'm now fine and super fortunate and grateful to be alive - a lot to be grateful for. The longest part of the recovery has definitely been my sleep. I still struggle to stay asleep due to hypervigilance. It is slowly improving and I try to have gratitude to the amazing job my body has done of healing physically and know it will continue improving with time. It's a challenging journey though!

What frequency and stimulation site helped with insomnia?
@DestinysMusings Жыл бұрын
Hi! I’m not a doctor and this protocol wasn’t specifically for insomnia-The location and frequencies are what they use for standard TMS treatment. I’ve got several videos explaining the process. This one is about exploring the idea that it might help some people insomnia. Hope that helps!
@Veronica-lo1tw Жыл бұрын
Most likely left DLPFC, 10hz. That’s the only protocol that is FDA approved and covered by insurance. It’s much less common for people to get some other protocol because insurance won’t cover it.

I just got off lexapro for anxiety a couple of days ago but i have an appointment with a neurologist to try get theta burst tms for my middle insomnia (waking up in the middle of the night every night typically after one sleep cycle as shown on my oura ring) Since i have gotten off lexapro recently (have slowly eased off over a month) will there be any major issues if i get tms
@DestinysMusings Жыл бұрын
Hi! That’s a really great question! I think your doctor, hopefully knowing your unique biochemistry, could give you a better idea of what you might expect. I’m not familiar with there being any major issues of going into TMS having come off or going on antidepressants a month ago. My understanding is that when you change something during TMS, your brain will need to be remapped. I think the idea is that they don’t want any major changes during your 36 sessions. But if you’re just getting theta bursts, I’d ask your doctor. I am less familiar with that method. Sorry if this isn’t more helpful!

Hi I’m on day 21 or TMS and my head feels super overstimulated and every muscle in my body tensed up mostly in my shoulders neck and jaw.. definitely elevated an anxiety/panic which is mostly intolerable at night time. Is this normal? Will it pass?
@DestinysMusings Жыл бұрын
Hi! I’m sorry to hear that. My head definitely felt weird in the beginning because I am super-sensitive. But it did get better for me. I’d talk to your tech-Maybe the level is just not quite right, or they need to bump it down a bit. Since everyone responds so differently, I’d definitely talk to them, and your doc! We had to adjust my levels lower a couple of times throughout because sometimes I was just so sensitive. And some days I was more agitated and anxious…but in my case, things did pass. Will you let me know how it continues to go? Thinking of you and sending healing vibes.

How are you sleeping 8 months later after the TMS?
@DestinysMusings Жыл бұрын
Hi there! Thanks for asking! I’m sleeping okay. My sleep was never perfect and I don’t know if it ever will be, but overall I feel like my sleep has improved. There are many factors that go in to it for me, though, so I’m not sure exactly how much TMS helped that, but, I can say it’s definitely not worse, and somewhat better, so I take that as a win. Now, if only I didn’t need so much sleep! 😆
