1. Kanisha absolutely killed it and this was the most all around funny show with the best flow! 2. It’s totally possible for people (ie: the Kardashian/Jenners) to be vapid, self centered and problematic and to also do good things and have good intentions. I think part of the problem is we act like things in life are black and white with no gray areas. But a person can be bad and have good qualities or good and have bad qualities. In fact that’s more common than not. However they will NEVER be forgiven for the Jordan Woods situation. Not that I care that much about Jordan specifically. But it was more than clear that they were malicious and they were using their influence to try to take down a young girl who was supposed to be like family to them.

And if you had a boy kid (who shouldn't be on social media anyway) slide into your DMs asking for your daughter, you'd want to protect her too. "Who is this boy talking to me like he grown!?" Kev! The struggle of being thrown into the youth pastor ministry. 😩 My teens were asking the same questions I always had, but never had received an answer for. We literally were learning together most nights. Lol. In the age of "woke" folk, you have to be prepared to answer the hard questions. One teen asked me how come our calendar doesn't line up with how God created the days in Genesis (evening being the start of a new day) and if we should be following the calendar we have. I was like, look, the saints are gonna be mad at me for this, but no. Our calendar definitely doesn't align with the Bible. 😂 Had I not dug in, studied it for myself and understood how the Gregorian calendar came about, I would've been a super saint just telling him not to question it.

Oh, I had to get the mama on the phone to talk about it!! Yes, I did! The little girl was just fast! Her mama agreed. Now she grew up to be beautiful inside and out (this was a long time ago). These kids, now 20 are friends and I still get at her about it. Be you Angel: Black Mom extraordinaire!

I absolutely love this podcast. My favorite thing is how much I can relate to your talks about black church, being raised in the black church and the pressure to be perfect as a preacher/pastor's kid. Thank you for being so transparent and just keeping it real. Having a podcast specifically for that topic would be great. So many people need healing and need to unlearn and relearn.

Marriage ain't for everybody. Everybody treats marriage like its a goal. It shouldn't be. If you have a great marriage and spouse cool but its not the reality. 50% of them end in divorce. That should tell you something
@jaydefrederick47144 жыл бұрын
@@Dud512 of course. I just know for myself marriage is something I want. If a man can give me the title of girlfriend then he can give me the title of wife. I think that expectations change with each role. I don’t treat a boyfriend like a husband and I shouldn’t because there isn’t the same expectation. Marriage includes finances, lifetime goals, healthcare coverage and many more that simply being a girlfriend doesn’t include. It doesn’t have to be for everyone but it is for me and I make that clear with whoever I date so there is no confusion.

It's cool when we respectfully disagree. That's part of the engagement. "Checking" viewers is unnecessary and stop trying to nice-nasty tell your viewers who have opposing opinions that you don't need them. Disagreement doesn't mean somebody's coming for you.

There were a bunch of emails that came in on the topic that asked if we would address the situation because of how those people felt about the topic. That is the only reason we re-introduced the topic and clarified how we want to move forward. We actually contemplated whether we would bring it up or not but I think it was necessary because some people do feel as though we shouldn’t say things they adamantly disagree with but that would be impossible.
