Morning Dan very good advice .. I believe actions speak louder than words. No point in listening to healing stories or reading all day long. Get moving/ do mind body work, yoga, etc get out in nature. Eat well, strengthen the body , get back to exercise, as Sarno says, trust the body. Connect with friends and enjoy life. I know only too well it takes time. The more you move and do the fear decreases and confidence grows. Do what you enjoy. I am nearly there tg after 5 years. Thanks to my therapist, Dr Schubiner , Gabo Mate and yourself Dan. 🙏❤

@@Inge508 Dear Inge thank you 🙏 so kind. Not quite there yet ! But beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Fear/ Anxiety still come up.. to calm my nervous system I put my hands on my heart and say, I am safe, I am healthy, I am loved. I am enough. Say as often as required it helps . If I feel pain from too much exercise I tell myself it’s good pain. Inge you will be well too. Keep positive 💗

Come on back to the Present. Worrying about your symptoms and the future …or ruminating about how the symptoms or life have ruled you so far just causes more stressful symptoms …this is all is keeping you stuck. Just stay in the Present. You can relax in the Present. Just Say no to time traveling. Much love to all. ❤️

I think the people that recover in hindsight end up not knowing how they recovered, they can explain it to some capacity. Its so easy to find this work and quickly become overwhelmed and as a result people end up missing the overall pattern. Good topic Dan thanks for bringing this up

I had a crazy experience recently… for years I couldn’t run because of foot pain and I kept working at it and finally could run 3 miles with little to no symptoms. Then I said “I think I’m gonna sign up for a 5k on thanksgiving…” guess who hasn’t been able to run since?😂 all the pains came back the SECOND I decided I was gonna run an actual race. My brain definitely views that as the scariest thing I could do probably because I used to suck at sports as a kid and embarrassing myself whatever it is but now that’s total proof of TMS! And my brain tried to play tricks on me too saying “you ran too much you should’ve taken a break etc etc etc…” well I’m not buying it. My back and feet and knees are all hurting but I’m gonna go back out there regardless because I have done it for over a month with no problems so I know I didn’t mess myself up!! I’m ok and I’m gonna be ok Dan! 😊no need to talk to myself to death, just knowing I’m ok is enough

Thanks for your daily uploads, I've just got a brand new symptom (eczema on my hands) and got scared and obsessed again... I guess I still believe I'm not healthy.

I’ve noticed I talked and reassure myself all day long especially when the symptoms are high. I notice that it’s what’s keeping me in this place and.l not moving forward. I’m trying to get to that place of total understanding but I keep losing my belief that this applies to me and I’m shaking in my head. It’s like I’m constantly trying to reassure myself that this applies to me even though I’m wavering on it.

Thanks Dan, you're spot on as usual. Freddy Mercury sang "Don't try so hard". It applies to a lot and certainly to TMS/PDP. About trusting the body; After being totally convinced I have TMS that has become easier. If there's a big flare up, I do the assessment again and find it easier to stay away from freaking out. Thanks to all and stay well!
