I would love a video on how to do large paintings, I don't have the luxury of a craft room, so when I am working on a large art can prove a headache, I did buy a table top easle but would be interested on any ideas on a small space set up 😊

One idea is an a3 tilted art easily I believe it is, on a tray table. Then have pool noodles cut to hold the top & bottom edge of your painting. Then as you progress & your painting I hanging over either edged it can be wrapped around the noodle to keep it out of your way. Then you can move it where you need it.

I agree you don't need these extras, but they make the hobby so much more fun! Pens are my personal favourite "extra" item. Yellow Dog Design trays are my favourite and I use glue dots and scented (for me) putty. Looking forward to your part 2 - washi tape, perhaps storage options. It's nice to see what's out there. Zots(glue dots) from Dollar Tree, also they have awesome washi tape! Temu for pens and metal steel less than $10 (not $20-50 😳), regular tweezer(slant or pointy) work BETTER than even DAC's, I also started with cheaper canvasses until I learned how to do it before trying to tackle a huge professional type and also to see if I even liked it ❤ As a grandma I slowly (unfortunately) learned to not only stop wasting $ and learning my kids don't want the "stuff" I leave behind 😂 Great video 👏👏 PS after a long day of working I depend on my Voltaren gel on my arthritic hands ❤❤

My momma is 83 this year and her and I were walking around a Goodwill around Christmas. I told her I envisioned 50 yrs from now Goodwill filled wall to wall to diamond paintings...hahaha. Yes, I agree with you that there's definitely WAY too many unnecessary diamond painting gadgets out there designed to make our diamond painting experience better. I enjoy learning about different stylus pens & aids helping to create neater looking DP's, especially for those who enjoy working with square diamonds, like myself. I really appreciate your time and honesty creating this video. I had total knee replacement on March 25th (with complications) so I’ve been in and out of the hospital and currently bed ridden. I’m very crafty (always have been since Brownies when I was a child.. I’m now 53) and I always wanted to try diamond painting but I have had so many things going on in my life it didn’t make sense to start something new.. until now obviously. To stay sane and try to keep my mind off the immense pain in my leg and now my back .. I purchased a few items on Amazon to deliver to the hospital. I bought a pack of three Dimond Art Sun Catchers that were very inexpensive and I figured if I didn’t like it I’d pass them on to my granddaughter. Well.. I am happily addicted passing my time with this new found craft. I just started yesterday and already seeking ideas of bigger and nicer art pieces from other websites I’ve been searching all day. The ones I have found appealing are around $85 on up but it’s whatever at this point. It’s definitely taking my mind off a lot of stress I’m going through and finding it hard to sleep with the pain in my leg and back this has helped me get sleepy enough to want to sleep. Hard to explain but it’s a real thing I’m going through. I’m really grateful for your time and I subscribed to you as well so I’m a lifer. My name is Sunshine and I live in Arizona.. nice to meet you! When I find a project I’m known to go all out and purchase the best of the best hence my search to find exactly what you’re explaining here.. what I need to make the new craft easier and more enjoyable. I do have arthritis in both hands but the tiny pink pen that came with the cheaply sun catchers didn’t seem to bother me. However learning from you I realized I have about ten of the identical type of pens that I used on my nail art. I did think they would work once I opened the sun catchers yesterday so thanks for pointing that out. My question and interest is in the trays and I think you answered that for me again thank you for your precious time explaining. My other questions are what are the trash cans for.. do some diamonds come broken or something ? Are the colors basically always the same number so say I wanted to buy glow diamonds or just more fancy shimmering diamonds or what have you. I found a neat site on Amazon called Forever Young diamond art and realized I can buy beautiful diamonds outside what comes in the kits. This is why I’m wondering if the numbers on the colors are always identical. That way I can label my new small jars that should arrive within the next day or so. One thing I don’t understand.. I don’t get the fascination in washi tape.. can I use just colored masking tape? I have a couple sublimation printers as I own a printing business among some other businesses so I have plenty of colored masking tape just curious what the deal is with people talking about the washi tape and if it’s a necessity? Lastly.. do people sell these finished products if framed nice? Just curious as I love to sell my crafts to help justify the cost. I’m glad it’s helping you to relax and be able to sleep! The DMC color codes may be the same, but the color of the drills may vary a lot from company to company. Some drills can be broken, misshapen, not fully formed, etc - hence the trash. For washi, you can use whatever you want; masking tape works if that’s what you have on hand. Some people just like their washi to match the kit they are working on. I’ve heard of people selling finished kits, though I’ve never done it myself. Thanks for watching!!

I've been doing diamond paintings for a few years and am wondering what others do with all of their diamond paintings. I'm in my 60's with a very small family and I've inundated my nephew and family with diamond paintings. I really like making them and have given them to everyone I think would want one and have even made and donated some at Christmas to an assisted living home. I'd love to know (I'm new to your channel so I'm sorry if you've covered this in a video) where they go, and additionally, I'd love to know what you do with all of the extra diamonds you accumulate. I have decided I don't like using square drills, so am donating all of those to charity along with a bunch of trays, pens and wax, but wonder will I ever use all I'm accumulating? I do use the crystal leftover diamonds on cards etc., and have tried making different projects with diamonds, but it doesn't seem to make a dent in what I'm accumulating. Sorry for the long questions...I really enjoyed watching your video.. Sandy

I’ve done the same - framed many and given away to family or friends or hung in my own home. The rest are stored in portfolios, as I’ve not decided what to do with them yet. Lots of people have recommended donating them to hospice, rehab centers, senior centers, and the like. I save my spare drills for other projects, but I have donated or sold a lot of my other supplies that I don’t use or no longer need. Thanks for watching!!

I started diamond painting Nov 2023 and I've been using the pink wax and it has been working very well for me... but I think I might try the glue dots.

I’d love to see a part 2. Because of you I now use micro glue dots and museum putty. I didn’t like the consistency of the blue tack - too sticky, and it frequently made releasing drills difficult.

There are tools that help make it more enjoyable and physically easier on our bodies. What is one thing that is a must have splurge?

Also, I usually kit up by weight starting with the heaviest. I think is easiest for me because I don’t have to think too much about what size container to use.

yep I have been diamond painting for several years and I still watch videos like others have said, I like to see what others use. I've pretty much figured out what I like and what makes it more comfy for me but I still like to watch vids . When I started buying the other pens I always thought because my hands are fat and really small the skinny pens would work better but over the years I found it was just the opposite, so I do pay a pretty good price for custom made but they feel better on my stubby fingers.

I thought your video was very informative and dead-on. I do think you NEED more items that you will probably cover in part 2. Washy tape for one example. A good set of tweezers another. Like I said, part 2. Thank you for all your sharing and knowledge. Your videos mean soooo much to me.

Something I didn't see you mention in your pen section were a couple things really useful with those with hand problems: egg shaped/palm pens and large foam grips in the shape of eggs or even 5" long ones that can go on the default pack in pens that are an inch and a half in diameter.
