I'm sitting lvl 3 in August. I have found it very hard, juggling work & CFA. But even if people don't value CFA anymore (which I don't think is true in the UK at least), my knowledge of financial markets is so much better than it was before. For that alone I think it is worth it. It has made me a much better investor and portfolio manager. I am more thoughtful, have better questions to ask and understand the theory side underpinning practice. Some of it works only in the textbook, but understanding that and having a common floor of knowledge with other CFA colleagues makes discussions and strategic thinking much better.
