Most cells can be removed easily and it is a good idea to remove it and bring it indoors for freezing temperatures and winterize those ports properly. If you did not bring your cell inside for the winter, this would not guarantee it would be broken, but salt cells are quick and easy to remove (because they need regular cleaning service) so it is prudent to bring it inside for the winter.

When possible I use a old dead cell and put in place of the working one. T-cell can accumulate water if upside down (label facing ground when installed horizontal). Zodiac systems, always garbo, best to say a prayer. Lol had to throw that in

I removed mine put it in basement even though manufacturer says it’s ok. Why take the chance
