I use this gel faithfully every week. Since my natural hair stylist showed me how to use this gel topped with Innersense and/or Obia custard I’m hooked. I really don’t buy anything or need anything else. My WNG last 5-7 days. But seriously this works better on in the shower, soak and wet hair.

I use Uncle Funkys like a leave in, the hold is too soft for me. I have to follow up with a stronger hold gel. I like Uncle Funkys directly on my strands because the ingredients are bomb.

This is one of my favorite gels! It's like a less runny version of the kinky curly gel. Most of the ecostyler ones are too hard and make my hair shrink and stick together in ugly crispy clumps. And the wetline is even worse. The pink eco is good tho.

I use way more than what you used. Definitely on soaked hair. My hair dries with a cast but not overly hard. My wash and goes last at leat a week. Oh, yeah no flakes.. Anyway, use more you were too light with the product in my opinion.

Thanks for the content! I have ended up using Wetline Extreme to top off any custards I put on my hair if I want to eliminate frizz, get more days but have very moisturized hair. Wetline always comes to the resue for me :)

So for me I love to use a leave in and then the UFD on top by itself because for me I get a medium hold and a few days from it. BUT if I want more hold and more lasting power I’ll use a leave in, UFD and the (original) Wetline gel 👀 and I love that combo too. I say the original wet line because I haven’t tried the new version yet. But the UFD I’ll use it alone with a leave in or I’ll use it in place of like a cream in the LCG method because it does define my hair so well.

Interesting. I think the techniques must be different for Uncle Funky's vs Wetline. I am 4c and I learned how to do a wash n go with Uncle Funky's and Flaxseed gel. And since then I can't get anything else to work on my hair. I hear so much about Eco and Wetline, but I can't get them to work on my hair. I am just accustomed to how Uncle Funky's works and it is easier for me. Yes you have go use lots of water, but my hair feels moisturized. When I try Wetline, it might look ok for the first day, but is so dry and brittle. So I guess you just have to stick to what you know :)

I love this gel as a base gel. I still apply leave ins cause I don’t play that no leave in over here maybe in the future I’ll ditch leave ins and stick to just shampoo and deep condition then UFD and a topper. I top with style factor strong hold styling gel. That combo is a keeper I’ll still use other products because I’m looking for better more clean hair products like eco slay or natures little secret but I’m not ready to spend the money on the natural gels when I already have ufd but I’ll learn what my hair like through my hair journey
